High in the dark sky, an eagle hovers at the top of a particular location. On top of the eagle was a young woman. She squinted her eyes and looked downward.
"These people… Humph!" She tapped her eagle and the eagle descended a couple of meters.
After watching for a couple of minutes, she controlled her beast and dived into another location, disappearing into the cover of the night.
In front of the Bloom hotel, a young man jumped down from gods know where and entered the hotel with a large stride. A young female attendant came to greet him but he didn't bat an eye at her and rushed to the third floor.
"Sir, the store is under attack." The young man reported.
"Hmm. We expected them to attack, not to take it lying down with the waves the center caused yesterday. But, aren't they impatient to get killed." Kako mused.
"You can return—"
"Sir—" A female voice trailed, entering the corridor, and stared at the two people in front of her.
"Don't tell me the hotel is under attack also," Kako asked with an amused smile.
"Yes." The lady nodded.
"Good. Both of you return to your post and make sure to note the route of the attacker. No one attacked Long-Fall Pass and escaped."
Creak!
The door opened and Al Casendra stepped out. His face was devoid of any expression. He had already gotten his emotion under control. Hearing the whispering coming outside of his room, he knew something was up.
"Your highness." The three bowed.
Al Casendra waves and motions Kako to follow him into his room. Discerning this, Kako nodded and looked at the two, and whispered.
"Return now. If there is any update. Send it back immediately."
The two left in a light step, looking at each other in amusement. Outside the hotel, the two nodded at each other and took separate paths. Meanwhile, inside Al Casendra's room.
Kako told Al Casendra about the incoming threat. Yet, there was any change in his expression. Al Casendra took his writer and wrote on the board.
"Send two wolf soldiers to the Trading Center and they shouldn't kill their leader and some of his men."
"And let's wait for our guest."
Kako nodded and left the room to dispatch his men. There was already a single wolf soldier guarding the Trading Center with two other ordinary guards.
After a couple of minutes, the third floor was quiet as a graveyard, and only a dim light illuminated the corridor.
Suddenly, 5 men in black appeared at the end of the corridor. They divided themselves into two groups and moved on both sides of the wall. They communicate through hand signals.
Whoosh!
The single light source on the corridor was eliminated and the corridor descended into complete darkness. Suddenly, the men stopped at the front of two rooms.
Creak!
They opened the door slowly and two men each entered both rooms. The first room was devoid of any light. One of the men closed the door and fire appeared in the palm of the other.
The fire illuminated the dark room and behold a middle-aged man was sitting at the edge of the bed. But there was something different about this man. In his hand was a strange weapon.
Seeing this, the two assassins were confused, thinking they were discovered. But on the discovery, it was only an ordinary rank 8 novice mage While both of them were rank 9 fire and wind novice mage.
A sigh of relief escaped from their mouth when the two assassins were about to summon their magic.
Whoosh!
Ah! Ah!
The two assassins fell to the ground not understanding what just happened. They wriggled in pain and a gush of blood escaped from their chest. They whimpered in pain.
A couple of their ribs were broken and a ghastly cut appeared on their chest. Allowing their innards to be visible. They sucked in a cold breath and their brain was heavy and fuzzy under the continuous pain assaulting their head.
Kako stood and approached the two assassins with his rapid fire bow in hand.
"This weapon never ceased to amaze me?" He murmured with a satisfying smile.
The two men on the ground stared at Kako in trepidation. But their gaze didn't linger on Kako's face for a moment before it fell on the strange weapon in his hand.
'What sort of sorcery is this?'
Stopping in front of the two men, Kako pointed his weapon and fired two shots toward the legs of the two assassins.
Ah! Ah!
All the bone ligaments on the assassins were destroyed and blood escaped like a broken dam, rendering their leg useless. Kako nodded and left the two assassins wallowing in pain.
On the other side of the room. The two assassins weren't as fortunate as those on Kako's side. The wolf soldier shot them straight in the head as they entered the room. Till death, the two assassins didn't know what killed them.
They are the assassins, why does it look the other way round. The leader of the assassin group stood at the center of the corridor. After waiting for a couple of seconds for his men. His expression changed from blue to green.
'Something is wrong.' His hair stood straight and his heart beats rapidly.
He didn't dilly dally inside the darkness and turn on his heel to escape. But it was too late, Kako came out of his room and cast a fire spell on the man.
Noticing the effect of the fire spell. The assassin didn't stop on his track. A gust of green wind appeared around him, and his speed increased by a large margin.
He appeared at the end of the corridor, ready to jump out of the window. Suddenly, his heart skipped a beat and all his hair stood straight. His instinct was screaming of imminent danger.
Bang!
The assassin couldn't complete his jump when he was hit by an unknown object. He fell over the window and crashed to the ground.
No one knew whether he was dead or alive.
