The bright sun shone on the horizon, marking the beginning of a new day. The quiet Xina city began to bubble with life. Merchants open their stores while peddlers crowd the street for the next available victim.
However, there were two families who were not happy to see the morning. A hidden threat hung on their neck. They wanted to know what happened the previous night. But they were wary of the small merchant group.
The two of them could only play the game, wait and see.
On the third floor of the Bloom hotel, inside a particular room. A young man in blue opened a thick book and went through it casually without any expression on his face.
In front of him, a middle-aged man stood like a statue without breathing loudly. These young and middle-aged men were Al Casendra and Kako.
Al Casendra was looking at the previous sales record of the Long-Fall Trading Center while a jar of wine was in his left hand.
[What do you think?]
He raised his head and looked at Kako. Kako blinked twice and cleared his throat.
"They made a great start. In the next couple of days, I believe Long-Fall Pass will receive a stream of mages."
Everyone knew the intention of their expenditure. It's not only to establish a store in Xina city but to send a stream of people to Long-Fall Pass to speed up its recovery.
[I'm not talking about their sale.]
Hmm?
Kako creased his brow and thought for a moment before he replied.
"Raymond is good but he lacked the awareness of a good business man. Meyla is better in that regard than Raymond but she is too ambitious for our course. While Donald was the son of Millie Connor, he had the touch of his mother. And diligent in his work. According to the report, he did most of the work yesterday."
Kako gave full details on the three merchants without hiding anything. Most people didn't know Kako ran a business previously but his business offended a powerful organization which led to their destruction.
He arrived at Long-Fall Pass with his last breath and didn't hope to survive but luck was on his side and he was found by long-Fall citizens and they rescued him. He shook to let go of his business work and choose to be a soldier.
He wanted nothing but avenge his lost family and friend in the attack. And being a soldier of Long-Fall Pass. He knew the day of his revenge was getting closer by the minute.
Al Casendra nodded. He closed the thick book and relaxed on the long couch. Suddenly, a knock came from the door. Kako frowned. No one among his men would dare interrupt them.
Who could it be?
He opened the door and a young gorgeous girl stood at the entrance, holding the hem of her yellow dress. Kako looked at the girl with awe. He took him a couple of seconds before he recovered from his initial shock.
"What do you want?" He asked with a cold voice.
"C-Can I talk with the young man." Sienna asked with a trembling voice.
Though she was a level higher than Kako, his intimidating gaze made her stuttered. Two claps came from the room and Kako gave way for the young girl to enter. He took another glance at the otherworldly appearance of the girl.
'How can she be so beautiful?'
Al Casendra stopped his drink and looked at the sudden transformation of the previous dirty girl. He was shocked for a moment but recovered quickly. He had seen many beautiful people both old and young in previous life.
Though his old self was a virgin. He devoted all his life to science and didn't have time to date or be dated. He sighed, regretting many heart broken ladies in his previous life.
He was obsessed with science and trying to make his name become a legend while elevating his family status to the peak. Space traveling was a field with little progress.
So he thought if he could succeed in space science. He would be the father of space traveling and would become a legend. Yet, he failed…. Not only that, he was killed by his machine.
Sienna sat slowly while her gaze lingered on Al Casendra's face for a brief moment. She had changed from her dirty clothes to a long overflowing yellow gown. Her long dirty hair was smoothened, added with a compelling fragrance.
Her brown hair glowed while her oval face accentuated her beauty. Her small flat brown lips matched her hair colour. Her skin shined and was blemished, like baby skin.
Al Casendra didn't bat an eye on her again. He took another sip of his wine and looked outside the window.
'This is a good wine.' He thought.
After waiting for a couple of minute and saw Al Casendra haven't no intention of talking. Sienna bit the corner of her lips and asked.
"What do you want to do with me?"
Al Casendra looked at her for a moment and took a parchment and wrote.
[You're free to leave.]
Reading the words, Sienna creased her brow and thought for seconds before a glow appeared deep in his eyes.
"What if I want to follow you?"
[Why would I allow just anybody to follow me? Besides, what good do you have for me?]
Sienna wasn't offended by Al Casendra's rudeness.
"I know a lot of places in Xina city and its surrounding cities. Also, I'm a rank 9 earth and wood mage." She said proudly.
Al Casendra was shocked by her words. Two magic affinity! 'I don't see that coming.' However, there wasn't any expression on his face. He looked at Sienna's face nonchalantly.
[Do you know where I can get a lot of people?]
Sienna was flabbergasted by Al Casendra's nonchalance behavior toward her dual affinity. She couldn't but wondered where this freak came from.
"When I was held captive by the Razor family. I heard they were into slave trade. So, if you need a lot of people. That is the first place to start."
[Welcome to the family.]
Hmm!
Sienna widened her eyes and stared at Al Casendra in dismay. 'Just like that!' she shouted in her mind.
Suddenly, the door opened and Kako entered. He gave Al Casendra a scroll and left.
"Every store of both the City lord mansion and the Razor family had been discovered." Reading the content of the scroll. The corner of his lips raised a bit.
'Let go hunting.'
