Under the cover of the night, the 13 people divide into two groups, moving separately. Above the sky were two monster beasts, patrolling the sky.
A group of seven people appeared at the corner of the wide road and rushed toward a magnificent building with a shiny name plate. Razor Pavilion.
In front of the pavilion, four guards move back and forth. Among the seven incoming people, a middle-aged man raised his hand and made a signal.
At once, a young man dressed in green guards clothes came forward with his weapon in hand. He rushed toward the four guards with his wind magic.
His speed wasn't that outstanding; he was just an ordinary rank 4 novice mage.
When four guards guiding the pavilion saw the intruders. Immediately, they cast their magic. Yet…
Swiss!
Bang!
A silhouette flew back and crashed on the ground, puking out blood. No one knew whether he was dead or alive.
This was a grade three cartridge that could deal with beginner mage. How could an ordinary rank 8 novice mage withstand the insane power of the weapon.
What!
The three other guards were flabbergasted. Their enemies were still a couple of distance from them. How the hell did they injure, no— kill their men.
"Run!" A man shouted from among the three and bolted, taking the other way. The two other guards were stupefied. Why would their leader flee without putting on a fight?
The green guards released another attack and a cry echoed in the quiet night. Blood splashing on the face of the other stupefied guards.
The guards trembled for a moment and looked at the wind mage like he was staring at a demon.
Whoosh!
The Razor guards dashed after their leader. However, he was an earth mage. His speed was extremely slow.
He took a couple of steps when he heard a whistling sound. His skipped a beat, yet, that would be the last skip the heart would do in this world.
Three dead, one escape. So he thought. The 7 arrived in front of the Razor pavilion and moved the dead body a side and Kako matched toward the seal door. He took out an item from his back and began to work on the lock.
Creak!
It only took him a couple of seconds before he unlocked the door. He opened the door widely and stepped aside for a young man to enter.
Al Casendra entered the pavilion unceremoniously. He looked at the interior decoration of the Razor Pavilion and the corner of his lips raised a bit.
'Truly, one of the leading families in the city.'
Bang!
A man crash landed in front of Razor Pavilion with blood flowing out of his major orifices. His breathing was erratic while a ghastly injury appeared on his chest.
The man groaned and forcefully opened his eyes. Deep fear spread out his face. He looked at the people in front of him and shivered.
He thought he had escaped the calamity but was hit by an attack out of the blue.
And in a couple of seconds, he had returned to the death scene. How! Many questions assaulted his brain but he knew he wouldn't live to get the answer.
The group didn't bat an eye at him. Five of the people sprung into action and the looting began.
In a couple of minutes, the magnificent first floor was ransacked to nothing. Quickly, the group matched to the next floor, leaving only a guard on the first floor.
In another location, the looting was in full swing. Inside the first floor were six people lying on the ground in a pool of blood. Deader than dead.
No one talked, everyone was busy parking everything they could lay their hands on into a sack.
"Is it true what you're telling me?"
Inside a beautiful room, lit with a deemed light. A man covered in black robe bowed to a woman in a long , overflowing white garment. Her loose hair swayed gently on her back.
"Yes. We follow them to both locations." The man reported.
"And you're not discovered." The woman squinted her brow.
"Yes."
"Tell me what happened next."
"According to what we saw. They have a way to kill mages without using magic…"
"What!" She raised her voice by a decibel and her eyes widened.
The young man knew it was quite impossible to kill a mage without using magic.
Killing a mage without magic would require tremendous effort and this only applied to a rank 1 and rank 2 novice mage. Anything from this level was impossible.
When practicing magic, the magic would tempered the body, making it extremely strong before the mana core was formed. How could an ordinary weapon destroy a magic body? That was inconceivable.
Yet, it happens.
"Are you sure!?" She trembled a bit.
She knew the effect of such a weapon if it spread out to the public. The magic world would be upheaval and the fragile balance would be destroyed.
Unknown to her, a bead of sweat had formed on her eyebrow. She took a deep breath to calm her racing heart.
"You can leave?"
The sudden emergence of a weapon that can kill a mage was disturbing. She knew that those people having that kind of weapon had an agenda. Things aren't that simple. A larger scheme is at play.
She sat on a couch and didn't have the nerves to sleep anymore. She was disturbed. Though, she didn't have an enmity with these people. But if they have another plan for coming to Xina city. Then, it only a matter of time.
The cock crows and the brilliant ray of sunlight appeared on the horizon, illuminating Xina city. The fresh morning breeze whistles through the cold morning. The city welcomes another new day.
"What do you say!?"
"What do you say!?"
Two enormous roars came from two different parts of the city. Thus, this beautiful morning wouldn't be a pleasant day at all.
