Reading the outrageous conditions. Rain Flower chest rose and fell. She thought the young one would have some senses, but it occurred to her he was the most unreasonable one.
"Go to hell!" she screamed. Her voice echoed outside the room while the two people outside the room rolled their eyes. Wondering what the hell was going on.
Al Casendra didn't blink. He took another sip from his alcohol and raised his finger. Seeing this, Kako's expression changed.
It swayed the black robe covering his body from neck downward sideways with his left arm. In one swift motion, the Rapid fire behind him was in his arm, ready to cause havoc.
The sudden change in action astounded rain Flower. What the hell. Before she could understand what the hell was going on. Al Casendra raised his thumb and pointed backward.
Understanding the signal, Kako bent a bit and turned his body, facing backward, and released the trigger.
Bang! Bang!
Two darts of arrows flew out of the Rapid Fire Bow and went past the wall like it was nothing. Immediately, two miserable cries of agony echoed from outside.
Gone were the days Al Casendra wanted to do things the easy way. Since the memory of his previous life was awakened and he started drinking alcohol. It bound things to change. Blood are follow his trail.
Rain Flower scalped tingled. She blinked continuously with her mouth aghast. When she recovered from the initial shock.
She dashed out of the room. Outside, two people were grimacing on the ground in agony.
The middle-aged man was slightly better, while the middle-aged woman had already lost consciousness.
A deep injury appeared on chest while some ribs protruded. She was only a rank 9 novice mage. How could her physique handle such a sudden attack?
Laying in the pool of blood, Rain Flower's brain was fuzzy. Water clouded her eyes. She fell on her knees and grabbed the middle-aged woman and said slowly.
"A-Aunt." Her voice cracked. She tried to hold her tears but saw the rapidly decreasing breath of the middle-aged woman. The tears dropped from the corner of her eyes.
She blinked her eyes and brought the woman in blood closed to her crimson white clothes.
"Please don't die. Please don't die." She cried.
"Give this to her." Kako gave a red elixir to Rain Flower.
Rain Flower was lost. But she accepted the elixir and opened it. She opened the middle-aged woman's mouth and pours the elixir slowly, muttering some inaudible words.
After a couple of seconds, the blood stopped gushing out from her wound and her breathing recovers slowly.
Though the elixir won't make the ghastly injury disappear. It at least brought her from the brink of death.
"Who's there?" Rain Flower shouted.
Quickly, a maidservant rushed to the floor and widened her eyes. Yet, she shut her mouth and kneels beside Rain Flower.
"Take care of her and use our best elixir on her. And find someone to look after him." She didn't forget about the middle-aged man grimacing in pain.
It punctured his stomach with his innards outside. He used his hand to support the innards from falling off the ground.
"Yes! Yes.!" The maidservant nodded and carried the injured woman from the lounge.
"Should have I thanked you." Rain Flower glared at Kako.
"You don't need to thank me. I wouldn't have saved them if not for my master. "He replied, not caring about her sarcastic comment.
She matched inside her the rooms and stared at the young man sipping his alcohol leisurely. 'How could he be cold toward killing people on a wimp' She knew this was just a warning toward her?
'Ruthless'
That was the only word toiling in her head. All previous graceful bearing had long gone down the drain and it replaced her enchanted smile with a bit of fear and nervousness.
She didn't understand a thing about the young man sitting in front of her.
'But don't think I don't have a backup. If you think you're the first people to threaten me. Tsk! Naïve.'
"Do you think I don't have people supporting me from behind? This short charade is childish." She retorted disdainfully.
"Really! I thought you've got some brain. But I overestimate you." Kako ridicule.
"What!" she flared up and pointed her finger at Kako. She gnashed her teeth. She wanted to kill this man, but she couldn't.
"What do you mean by what??" Kako smirked. "Use your head. We dare go against the city lord and the Razor family. Do you see us running with our tails stuck between our legs? Hmm?"
Hearing Kako's ridicule. Rain Flower wanted to refute, but she blinked her eyes twice. Suddenly, everything was dawning on her. She sat down slowly and shivered. All her previous haughtiness went puff into thin air.
Are those behind her stronger than both the Razor Family and the City lord's family? That's definitely No.
Where did she get the courage to utter such a word? She didn't even know. Her last line of defense was long breached when she was still thinking she could rely on it.
She was lost. Totally lost.
After thinking for a moment and letting out a sigh for the umpteenth time. She rubbed her temple and said slowly.
"Why should I accept being your subordinate? You should know the history surrounding your city. I don't want to venture into a sinking ship."
"Do you have a choice?" Kako retorted.
"You're right. But I can choose to accept your condition on the surface, but spread the news about your deadly weapons in the dark. And I believe you don't want that."
"You're wrong. We don't care if others find out about our weapon. If we care. Why do you think you're still alive? Only the dead can keep a secret."
Ah!
Rain Flower was shock silly. Since these two entered her room. She had been shocked from one moment to another. 'Why is it that everything I say came out wrongly today?' She cried in her mind.
After recovering from the shock. She looked at Kako and didn't know how to feel. She knew there was no way out.
"I agree. But what about those two? "
"Watch and see, little girl."
