"Raylana c'mon let's go!" Ves hurriedly commanded her driver. Some employees from her company screwed again.
"Someone from the company didn't meet my deadline and not only that, she's withholding bad news that might aggravate her department" the angry and frustrated boss complained.
Being the daughter of Miciano Dela Cruz didn't mean freedom for her, it actually signaled that she will spend her whole life dealing with unwanted employees, paper works, endless meetings, men who are show off, and status seekers. After she turned 18 her dad left the company in her hands and all she did was think of ways how to make the products and the company's name the most influential company in the country.
She had thought a lot while growing up. How will the introverted girl communicate and do business? What kind of a boss would she be. No matter how she thought about it though, she couldn't be distressed with her parents because she understands their family's set of conditions. Besides, her parents were always admirable to her and made sure she didn't want anything.
She did not realize how much she had spaced out until she felt her phone vibrating. It's a call from her secretary.
"Madam, she's nowhere in your office, I have been calling you more than 3 times but you didn't answer, is there something wrong?
"No, sorry I just got distracted from the thought of the doings of that ungrateful employee" Ves apologized as she started to fix herself upon arriving in her company.
"Really? I couldn't tell at all". The driver replied sarcastically.
"It's really okay to get distracted sometimes but once you do while driving, you can have your voluntary exit Raylana". Ves said trying to get back at her driver's sarcasm.
Raylana is the only driver that she hired, only because the woman couldn't stop blabbing that she's a friend of her father's and she had experienced professional driving for over a decade.
They made a strange pair of friends for any person who saw them. Raylana is the average-looking type of woman and more of a goofy one while Vestra is the one who fits everyone's beauty standard and a woman who acts the proper etiquette.
..
Ves safely arrived at Easy state Corp. and she went straight ahead to her office, "Madam you still have 2 minutes before talking to the employee from the stock department." Tara said "Bring her in front of my face right now" Ves replied with a sigh.
"You know the company would never tolerate any wrongdoings right?" Ves inquired.
"Madam I'm sorry, my brother got injured in an accident and
I'm the one who took care of him," the employee answered.
"That's bs! How many times have I told all of you to set aside your personal life from work! Work is work, keep your drama away from it, do you get it?." Ves demanded.
"Thank you, Madam, I'll keep it in my mind always, sorry."
"Employees of my company should take my golden rule seriously or I'll fire all of you! Get your act together. I'm not pleased with your department's performance either, you better be taking this as a warning or I'll let the other team handle your project." The angry boss stated.
Ves continued to bride on her busy life and existed like she didn't know that she had a fatal disease. She then became weak and would repeatedly fall everywhere she goes.
Ves looked like she was suffering while trying to go to meetings and events. She would consistently grit her teeth and groan in agony.
Her knees were about to give up as the environment she was in started blurring. With her eyes full of difficulty and anxiety. She could not grasp the reality that she was facing because of her illness.
Vestra's strength was like the strength of any other woman, in spite of the fact that she suffered in discomfort from the people that left and she has lost, she'll pick every crumpled piece of her heart to not forlorn to death.
"Maybe it's time to join Mom and Dad, I really miss them," Ves said to herself
Ves hated the feeling that she was all alone at times but somehow it brings her sereneness.
Even so, her sadness faded when she remembered a memory from when her dad was still alive. This memory was never forgotten.
She released a sigh. Her father used to be her doctor whenever she was sick. Mr. Dela Cruz used to cook meals for Vestra and her mother. Up until now that she's grown up, she can still call herself a daddy's girl.
Later on, she was called by a woman with a croaky voice.
"Madam!"
When she caught Vestra's attention, Tara, asked, "Madam have you called your aunt? She's here, she's claiming that you'll die sooner and you have no other relative except her to inherit the company"
Tara glanced at Vestra's facial expression, she stood right next to her boss as she waited for her response. Vestra shook her head once as she beamed a slight smile.
"It's alright Tar" Ves responded.
"Are you alright Madam? I know you, come on, tell me." Tara convinced
"My auntie has always been waiting for me to die, She wants the company in her hands," Ves muttered
"Ah, is that so? To be honest, I already knew your aunt is that kind of person, You should let it go and focus on your peace Madam." Tara inferred to her
Realizing it, Ves realized that Tara was right. There's nothing good in suffering over her annoying aunt. She should focus more on how to make her days worth living and happiness other than thinking about hating her aunt and her death.
"You're right, Tar"
Tara was relieved.
Ves forced herself to believe that there will be a day when her loved ones can share laughs with her. To share dinner with, commemorating their success in each of their fields in life.
