Third Individual's POV
For once, Seo ya was greeted by the bright morning light. Seo ya had woken up early, and after doing some stretches, Seo ya made her way towards the kitchen. She could smell the pancakes from down the hall. The door was slightly open, letting light in.
There, the head chef was preparing her morning breakfast. Seo ya stood there for a while, not moving. When she noticed that Seo ya was staring at her, she turned around to face Seo ya.
"Oh, Seo ya. Morning!" she said with a smile. Seo ya walked over to her side and sat on one of the chairs next to her.
"Good morning. How are you?" Seo ya asked. She couldn't help but notice how happy the other woman looked today.
The head chef smiled even wider."I'm great! I actually have a surprise for you!"
Seo ya furrowed her brows. "What kind of surprise? Do we need to prepare anything?"
The head chef chuckled. "Don't worry about it too much. It's nothing big. Just come to my room whenever you're ready."
With that, Seo ya nodded her head and watched as the head chef went back to her pancakes. After a few minutes, Seo ya finished eating and followed the head chef through the hallway until they reached her room.
The head chef entered first, so Seo ya quickly followed her inside. Her eyes widened when she saw what was in front of her.
A large wooden table was set in the middle of the room. In the middle of it was a large, chocolate cake, with little candles placed at each corner. On either side were multiple presents wrapped in red velvet paper. A beautiful bouquet of flowers sat atop of all of them, along with a card that had been taped onto the top of the cake.
On the ground near the edge of the table was a small, white, silk pillowcase. On top of the pillow case was the card with the name written across the front.
It was a small piece of parchment paper with a simple note. "Happy birthday Seo ya and Seo Hyun!" Is what the letter said.
Seo ya had completely forgotten that it was their birthday. She expressed a faint smile, and thanked the head chef. 'I totally forgot that it's our birthday. If only Seo Hyun was here to celebrate with me, the day would have been completely nice,' Seo ya thought.
After thanking the head chef, she went to the hallways where everyone greeted her. She went to the bathroom and cleansed her body.
Afterwards she got dressed into some casual clothes and walked outside of the mansion.
As soon as Seo ya arrived at the main gate of the mansion, a couple of servants came up to her and opened the gate. She stepped onto the driveway and used the limousine she used yesterday.
She sat in the limousine seat and began to think of Seo Hyun. She started to feel a little sad, since she realized that this birthday means nothing without him.
She started the engine, and went to the Lee company, hoping that Tyler and the rest of her coworkers would greet her too.
Upon entering the building, she went up to the elevator and pressed the button to go up. As the elevator ascended, she began to think, 'My brother and Tyler had been together for years. If he can't remember that it's my brother's birthday, I'll kill him.'
Once the elevator stopped on the floor, she got off the elevator and headed straight to Tyler's office. She knocked on the door three times before opening it. She spotted Tyler in the chair in front of his desk, working.
'It's still early in the morning, yet he's already working?' Seo ya thought.
She coughed a couple of times to catch his attention. Once Tyler heard her clear cough, he looked up from his paperwork, and gave her a tired look.
Seo ya raised her eyebrows. Tyler was always really hard working, especially at the office. "You're here," he mumbled. Seo ya was waiting for Tyler to greet her, but instead of a greeting, he gave her a frown.
"How long have you been standing there for?" he asked. Seo ya frowned a bit herself. She wanted to tell him, "Not long enough," but decided not to give that response.
Tyler sighed and ran a hand through his hair. He then looked back at his paperwork, signaling that he didn't want to talk anymore. Seo ya knew that he wanted to get to work, but didn't want to interrupt him.
So she left the office, closing the door behind her. 'What the fuck? So he really forgot or he has no intention of greeting me?' Seo ya thought, raising one of her eyebrows.
'I know that he's a jerk, but I couldn't believe that he is worse to the extent!' She thought, groaning. Seo ya went back to her office. 'No one greeted me along the way. Don't tell me that on every birthday, my brother has no one to celebrate with?' Seo ya thought, pouting.
As she took a seat at her desk, her phone started ringing. It was from Min Hyuk. Seo ya smiled when she picked up the call. "Hey. Why the sudden call?" she giggled. Seo ya was expecting her secretary to at least greet her.
Seo ya sighed happily. "Ms.Jang," he said. Seo ya grinned as she widened her eyes, excited for the greeting. "I have some information on how you can dig into Cindy and Tyler's collaboration!" Seo ya was dumbfounded.
"Fuck you," she cursed, dramatically going insane. It's good that he happens to know what to do, but that wasn't the message Seo ya wanted to hear.
"Eh?" Min Hyuk asked, confused. 'Why did she suddenly curse? Did I do something wrong?' Min Hyuk thought. As if they had telepathy, Seo ya thought, 'Yes. You are wrong! I can't believe the secretary I treated as a friend didn't even greet me with a happy birthday!'
