Chapter 27 - Time

Third Individual's POV

Tyler is pissed by their words. They're so rude, they say things that shouldn't be spoken with so little respect. They said something they knew they weren't supposed to do, but still, they did anyway.

That's how these things always go with coworkers and investors. Tyler wants nothing more than for them to apologize and get back on the meeting, but that's not going to happen anytime soon.

After all, they pissed Tyler enough to make him an assassin. "Get out," Tyler said, covering his face with both of his palms. "All of you," he continued. Every investors, and coworker exited the room and the only people there were him and the woman beside him.

"Why aren't you leaving?" He looked at the woman in red, who was still unconscious. "Ha, fuck," he mumbled. "I didn't even have to give him his birthday. I didn't even greet him with a happy birthday, and this is what happened? How dare they suspect him?" Tyler groaned.

All of the sudden, the woman wakes up as if she rose and her eyes glimmer in happiness. "Who are you referring that to, sir?" She asked, grinning. Tyler was stunned as if he saw a ghost. "Shit! You scared the hell out of me!" He yelled, standing up.

"Oof, sorry for that. Now tell me, who were you referring to?" She asked, while smiling. Tyler thought of her as weird. "Why do you want to know?" He sat down once again, crossing his arms.

"Of Course I want to know! You just blabber up some things and you won't even tell me what's it's all about? Boo! You know what, I have this personality of mine who couldn't help but to meddle in someone's affair!" She said, cheerfully making Tyler laugh.

"Pft, Hahaha! So in other terms, you're Karen?" Tyler said, teasing her. The woman suddenly laughed so hard, her hips were hurting because of the laughter. "Well, I guess I am. Now tell me, who is it you're talking about?" She grinned once again.

"We'll, since I'm pretty sure that we won't see each other again, I presume that it's fine to tell you," he mumbled. The woman was so excited for his upcoming words as if it's connected to her. Finally, Tyler smiled and said, "It's my secretary."

All of the sudden, the woman fell silent. As if a cat got her tongue, she stood up, making Tyler confused. 'What the? Is she mad or what? ' Tyler thought, groaning.

However, behind the woman's face is someone who's celebrating something in secrecy. It seems like she's holding back her emotions for some reason. When she finally calmed down, she took a seat and the face she's currently showing is someone who looked like they won the lottery after 5 years of trying.

"Hehe, so... You want to greet him with a happy birthday? You could have just greeted him earlier. Why didn't you do so?" She asked, with her smile blooming around. 'Is it just me or do flowers surround her?' Tyler thought.

Tyler gave out a fake cough and said, "I didn't find the right time... Supposedly I wanted to celebrate his birthday with a surprise but it seems like I even made him more angry because of my actions... Damn it." "That was because you were a jerk!" The woman said with no hesitation.

Knowing what she said, she covered her mouth with her bare hands and smiled, pretending to be innocent. "Did you just call me a jerk?" The woman's reply was silence towards his question.

She looked below as if she's trying to make up something and when she finally did, her brightened eyes came back. "Oh, that? Sorry! I only said that you were a jerk for not knowing when's the right time," she said with a faint smile.

"Is that so? But, isn't greeting something important? I wanted to keep my greeting memorable so I was waiting for the right time," he said in a soft, adorable voice as he pats the back of his head.

The woman suddenly blushed. Her cheeks were crimson red, and she was flustered. "Geez, when it comes to birthday greetings, there's no such thing as a right time. You never know, because of you waiting for the right time, in the end you didn't find the time to do so. Hey, didn't you even think that, that secretary of yours probably waited all day for your greeting? But eventually gave up because you never gave a sign of doing so?" She said, striking the truth.

"I..." Tyler continued, "You might be right. He may get on my nerves sometimes but he was probably waiting for my greeting. He's a kind guy, you see. It's just that... He developed this nasty temper recently!"

The woman suddenly smacked Tyler's head causing him to whine. "Damn! What was that form!" Tyler looked at her, seeing her irritated reaction. "Have you finally gone mad? Listen here, I only said the truth because you wanted to listen—``''How dare you insult your secretary!" She yelled.

'Why is she getting angry for the sake of Seo Hyun? It's not like they're related anyway. Don't tell me, is she really kind, that's all?' Tyler thought.

"I didn't insult him. I only gave a mere fact and I don't even know why you're so mad about it. Isn't it better than lying?" Tyler crossed his legs.

"But..." She mumbled, and stopped as if she had no words left. Tyler suddenly sighed as he thought, 'But what if she's right though? What if Seo Hyun waited all the time for me to greet him? Damn, I'm his only friend yet I didn't even greet him.'

Tyler looked at his watch which signifies 10:45 in the evening. He couldn't help but to look worried. The woman noticed this and suddenly smiled as if she's relieved by something. "Hey, " she leaned closer to him and tapped his shoulder.

Tyler looked at her. "If you really want to greet your secretary, your friend, then there's no better time than to do it now, before the day ends. You never know, your friend might still be waiting," she said, closing her eyes as she showed a bright smile once again.
