The Shattering had happened 17 years ago, a missing British school child went missing for a month, but when they returned, they had changed. They had come back as a group of 12 humanoid creatures, each claiming to be a fragment of the child. They forcefully took control of the entire UK. They used a strange form of magic, and even the UN failed to stop them. After the Uk, several nations collapsed, including Russia and the US after they tried to attack the new nation that was formed. Only two of the twelve ever went out, a girl with bright red hair who seemed to be called Sangius, and a boy with gold hair who seemed to be called Aurum. France was also destroyed, however it was destroyed by only one, a black haired boy who was nearly identical to the original child. Over the first week over 100 million people were confirmed dead, with several people being escorted back to the newly formed Webway nation in the ashes of the UK.
After the Shattering the UK, the US, Russia and France were practically entirely converted to wilderness. While the forests grew at an alarming rate, several people reported seeing characters from childrens TV shows such as Luz Noceda from The Owl House, Catra and Adora from She-Ra, and an assortment of others. If that was the only thing that happened then society might have been able to recover, but something else changed. Evolution some how sped up, humans advanced as well, but nowhere near as fast as some creatures.
Thankfully some children born after the Shattering could make use of magic, some scientists estimated 5% of children could. Others gained the ability to see potential in a type of medium they desired, these children became known as the Full-Sight, only 0.23% of children become a Full-Sight. However one group was even more important, the oracles, less than 0.00006% of children became oracles. Oracles had the power to see the future, or the dead.
I was one of the 40 children who had access to all 3, we used to have 50, however several were lost to the beast tides, one took his own life, others were assassinated by foreign powers. And as for Ivy and Liam, my only friends in this hellscape known as my life, they...
they were sent to the Webway. They never returned. I knew of others that has exited the nation, but they never wanted to return. Apart from those 2 and my personal doctor, I never had any friends or family, I didn't even know my own birthday, apparently my parents offered me up to try to help. I called bullshit.

Anyway as someone with all three abilities I was better than almost everyone, except for one slight problem. My talent was terrible, apparently because I was the oldest I didn't get enough access to the strange energy the Webway outputs, for instance, most people took a few weeks to learn an average spell, i took a few months. The other Oracle's could see hours into the future, maybe even days. I could see minutes at best. Apart from the Ivy, Liam, and Doctor Rose, no one believed in me, I guess it resulted in a negative feedback loop, the less they believed in me the less effort I put in, the less effort I put in the less improvement I made, the less improvement I made the less they believed in me.
That was until my Full-Sight finally kicked in, I should probably explain that Full-Sight takes a random amount of time for it to activate. As soon as I noticed it start to load in I panicked, simple as. I thought of one of the few pieces of contraband I had, video games, I focused solely on that, emptying my head as much as possible. After what felt like hours, but was probably more like a few minutes, I heard a simple ding, and I could breath a sigh of relief.

As I finished reading the list an alarm rang, sighing I stood up and headed out of my room towards a meeting hall, it was time for the monthly quest.
