I awoke with a yawn, the sun nearly blinding me. Wait, the sun? Oh shit, I was supposed to be up hours ago. Bolting up I noticed the unfamiliar location but paid it no mind. Tossing on my jacket I ran to the door, stopping in front of it as the memories of the previous day rushed back. Taking a deep breath I read the note.
'Hey, we're downstairs if you're wondering, we didn't want to wake you so come down when you want'
Smiling, I opened the door and walked down the stairs, only to turn back and pick up the semi-transparent blue stones. When I reached the ground floor I was looking for a solid few minutes before I heard one of them call me over.
When I finally sat down the silence was off putting when compared to the normal noise I had grown used to. After what felt like hours Sara asked a question
"So what where the stones that you used to pay?"
"These?" I said, placing the 3 stones I had left on the table. "I don't know."
"Then why did you try to pay with them?" She asked.
"I was told they were valuable." I answered.
Before anyone could ask another question I cast analysis on the stone, only to be met by pure shock at the result.
[Analysis...]
[Item name: Small experience stone]
[Description: A stone made when purified mana was condensed in a vacuum]
[Use: Level up once to a maximum of level 10]
"Thats why they're useful." I said, jaw practically dropped to the floor.
"Why?" Toby asked.
"It's a small experience stone." I said, to the confusion of everyone apart from claire.
"Really?" She asked, face excited.
"Yeah." I answered.
"It can raise your level by one." She explained to everyone, only for the others to look at them like piranhas.
"Whoa, it only works below level 10, and you're all over level 20." I said.
"Then why don't you use them?" Sara asked.
"I'll wait till level 7, it'll save time."
With that conversation slowly resumed, and the previous days events were slowly driven over and after a few more minutes they started to prepare to leave.
**********************************************
Walking along the woods we slowly hunted the few stray beasts that came along. After nearly an hour I had already leveled up twice and we returned to the market.
Walking around the stalls I stopped as I saw a specific weapon.
"This one caught your attention, aye?" The old dealer asked, a slight smile showing.
"Yes sir." I said politely, he was old and restrained, but still showed large amounts of power.
"Well I've had her for a while, but it hasn't sold, so you can have it for... 12,000 coins or 1 small experience stone." He said.
My eyes opened wide and I nearly coughed up blood, that was way to expensive.
"5,000 coins." I said.
"11,000 coins" He said.
"7,000 coins" I countered.
"10,000 coins." He responded.
"8,000 coins." I insisted.
"9,000"
"8,300"
"8,700"
"8,500"
"8,600"
"8,550" I finally countered.
"Deal." He said.
Grumbling I fished out a small bag, taking out 8 blue coins, 5 gold coins, and 5 silver coins, placing them on the table infront of him, he carefully picked up a scythe with a bone white blade.
"Pleasure doing business." He said as I took the scythe from him.
Walking away I cast analysis on it only to met by a surprise greater than from the small experience stone.
