9th June Saturday:-
Ash arrived at the company and met with Serena to have a brief introduction about the audition. He took a look at the file of the people taking part in the audition and then went into the audition room along with Serena, Rowen, Lilia, and Nancy. Nancy recommended some people from the list for certain roles as she was familiar with the all artists working in the company.
The audition started and went well for about 3 hours. When the auditions were finished Ash had already chosen the actors for all the roles except the roles of the Grandpa and the brother of Olive.
Ash wasn't quite satisfied with the actors for this role because the first thing is his company didn't have many old actors in the first place and they couldn't find an actor who is young and handsome for the role of the brother. So he decided to give up on it for now and they will hold more auditions for these roles.
Serena was also present in the audition but she wasn't that experienced in it so she didn't say much but she thought that Ash was really good at it. He was able to find the mistakes actors made during audition like it wasn't that big of a deal. And After the auditions were over Serena felt more confident in his skills so she told him, "I will arrange another audition for the remaining roles, and this time we will invite actors from outside too."
"Ah! Thank you, please do that."
"Don't worry about it, anyway we have a meeting with John Bairstow CEO of the JB studios."
"Oh! We are meeting him tomorrow but we have to go to San Fransisco for the Comicon."
"You remember? I thought you forget."
"What? How can I forget something so important!"
"I knew it, you won't change your mind once you set it on something." Serena looked at Ash with a smile and, "Don't worry I kept that in my mind. The meeting with John is in the morning so you can go to the Comicon in the evening and I will book a flight ticket to the San Fransisco later."
When Ash heard that he became a little happy so he closed the distance between him and Serena. He got closer to her and said, "You really know me so well in such a short time. Hiring you was the best decision I could take."
When Ash said that Serena blushed and created a little distance with him. She didn't want Ash to see her in that state so she went to her office without saying anything leaving Ash in his confused state behind.
In the evening Ash was in his house looking at the script in his hand. He was going to sell this script tomorrow so he wanted to finalize all the changes he had made from the original movie. Ash falls asleep with the script in his hand.
10th June Sunday
Today Ash woke up early since today was a busy day he did some light exercises. After freshening up he went to 'The Crown Hotel' directly. Serena and John were already at the hotel so he went to join them.
An hour earlier:-
John Bairstow was a talented director who had many famous movies under his belt. But all those movies belonged to the big studios so he felt like he wasn't getting paid enough for his work. Even though his salary was one of the highest in the industry but he wanted to invest in his movies and take a bigger share of the pie. To others, it may seem like he was being greedy but he had skills to back up his greed.
That's why he opened his own studio and named it JB studios but he soon realized a problem that now he wasn't getting a good script to produce even though he had all the resources. That's when Starline approached him with a script.
He wasn't very optimistic about the script at first but he had heard rumors that recently Starline had a talented scriptwriter whose script even Disney liked so much so he thought to give it a try. So he met with the CEO of Starline. She gave him the script and told him that the writer will arrive after a while until then he should read the script first.
John started to read the script. After reading for a while he realized that it was a script set in the modern-day USA and how the world of this script takes a turn for the worse when fuel shortage plunges the world. He felt that the script was written very brilliantly. He soon noticed that the MC of the movie was cleverly written as a mythological character.
He felt that it was a movie worth making because of its world-building.
Soon Ash arrived in the meeting room but John was so invested in the script right now that he realize it. John was a sucker for great stories and Ash felt happy about it too.
After some time John finished reading the script then he realized that Ash had also joined them so he introduced himself, "Hello, I am John Bairstow and I'm really sorry for earlier."
"I'm Ash Wilson. Don't sweat about earlier it makes me really happy to see you so interested in my script."
"It is very worthy of my interest."
"Then should we start the discussion about the script?" Serena suggested.
"Yes, why not."
After the confirmation, Serena stated the terms for the script. And to their surprise, John agreed to their terms immediately.
"Wow, That went relatively easy," Ash said jokingly.
"I started my studio because I wanted to direct and produce the movies I like without anyone interfering. Since I like your script I will make it without a doubt."
"Then it's happy cooperation. Thank you."
"No, Thank you for writing this good script and please contact me again if you have more scripts like this in the future."
"Of course, I will," Ash said while shaking his hand with John's.
