Alona approached Lily, who was with Ryan at the bar table. She sat watching them both laughing softly. "You two are like a couple."
"I enjoyed our time together," Lily responded to Alona's words by drinking her tequila immediately. After that, he sighed softly and patted Ryan's shoulder with a big smile.
"By the way, where is your dad, Lily? I haven't seen him yet. I also want to congratulate him," Ryan said.
Lily immediately looked around, looking for Mr. Graff. She looked at the table where his father's friends were. Mr. Graff is not at the table. She then looked for the figure of Max. Usually, Max will be at the place where his father is.
"What's wrong, Lily?" asked Alona after she saw Lily's surprised face.
"I'm sure. Earlier, I saw my father chatting with his fellow researchers. But now, even I can't find Max," answered Lily.
Alona and Ryan glanced at each other. The two of them then paid attention to the surroundings in the restaurant and looked for Mr. Graff and Max.
"They seem to have left here," Lily said.
Alona and Ryan then turned their attention to Lily.
"How do you know they left the restaurant?" Ryan asked.
Lily shrugged. "Who knows? Maybe it's just me."
Lily suddenly felt anxious. She wasn't sure what she was feeling. But it felt like she was suddenly worried about her father. Lily took a deep breath and immediately stood up from her seat. "I think I will also return to the lab."
Alona held Lily's hand. "This fast?"
Lily nodded her head. "I suddenly feel anxious."
Ryan stood up from his seat. "I'll take you."
Lily looked at Ryan and nodded slowly. After that, Lily turned his attention to Alona. "You can stay here. I'll come back here after making sure there's nothing in the lab."
Alona took a deep breath. "No need. Maybe I'll be out of here in a bit too."
"Then I'll go," said Lily. She kissed Alona's cheek and then walked away from the restaurant with Ryan.

Mr. Graff walked hurriedly into the laboratory after getting out of his car. He went straight to Matthew's recovery room.
Once in the room, Mr. Graff saw the frightened faces of his laboratory assistants. Meanwhile, he can hear a knock on the glass window inside Matthew's recovery room.
"What happened?" asked Mr. Graff to his laboratory assistant.
"We don't know what happened. Everything happened so fast," answered one of the laboratory assistants.
"What do you mean?" Mr. Graff again asked the laboratory assistant.
The laboratory assistant then looked at Mr. Graff. With a face that was still a little scared, he told what had just happened in Matthew's recovery room. It started with Matthew, who kept asking for water because he was thirsty.
However, despite being given a few bottles of mineral water, Matthew kept screaming that he was thirsty. Matthew then started to moan in pain. He asked to lower the temperature in his room because he felt soo hot.
The climax was when Matthew screamed so loud that the paramedics who examined him jumped. They were frightened to see the look in Matthew's eyes like a hungry lion. Not only that but the laboratory assistant who was watching him was also surprised when he saw Matthew's eyeballs turning completely white.
"After that, Matthew sucked the blood of the paramedics who examined him." The laboratory assistant ended his story with Mr. Graff.
Mr. Graff took a deep breath and turned his attention to Matthew's recovery room. He swallowed his saliva when he saw Matthew's body covered in the blood of the paramedics who treated him. "Did you give him a sedative?"
"We have given sedative gas. However, the gas had little effect on Matthew. It will only calm down for a moment. Then come back like that," replied the laboratory assistant.
"Have you contacted the police?" Mr. Graff again asked his laboratory assistant.
His laboratory assistant shook his head. "We contacted you right away."
Max, who had just joined the room watching Matthew, went straight to Mr. Graff. "How could this happen?"
Mr. Graff sat in one of the empty chairs nearby. He put down his glasses and massaged the bridge of his nose. "I don't know what happened either, Max. It seems that I have carried out all the procedures properly."
----
"GET ME OUT OF HERE!" shouted Matthew, hitting the thick glass.
Matthew kept hitting whatever was near him. He was like someone who had lost his mind. All that was on his mind was how he would overcome his unfinished thirst.
Just as Matthew was thinking about the thirst that continued to overtake him, his thoughts suddenly drifted the moment he opened his eyes. A smile greeted him, and a pair of warm blue eyes gently looked at him.
"Welcome back, Matt." Said the voice of a woman who greeted him.
Matthew didn't know who the woman who greeted him was. But he could feel the warmth from behind the gaze that the woman gave him, even if it was only a glance. Because after that, he narrowed his eyes again due to the light that bothered him.
Matthew's breath, which was initially panting, slowly subsided. Suddenly Matthew sat down on the floor. He then noticed the atmosphere around him. His white eyes slowly showed their actual brown eyes.
Matthew was surprised to see two bodies lying in his room. He was even more surprised when he saw blood all over his body. Matthew licked his lips when he felt something sticky stick to his lips. Instantly Matthew gasped after licking the liquid that was on his lips.
But this time, Matthew tried to restrain himself by re-imagining the woman's figure who greeted him. He slowly managed to wipe his mouth. His eyes widened when he saw the blood on the back of his hand after he wiped his mouth.
"What have I done?" Matthew asked himself, looking down at his hands.
Matthew really couldn't remember what he had done. Just as he was trying to remember what had just happened, the door to his recovery room opened. Matthew turned and saw a middle-aged man enter his room.
"Who are you?" cried Matthew.
"I am Professor Graff. We've met before," replied Mr. Graff.
Matthew looked even more confused. "Prof. Graff?"
Mr. Graff nodded his head. "I know you must be very confused right now, Matt. But you don't have to worry. We will figure it out."
"Did I kill the two people there?" Matthew asked, pointing to the two men lying stiffly in his room.
"You did it by accident, Matt. You are under the influence of drugs."
Matthew lost his words after he heard Mr. Graff. He looked back at his hands. Matthew frowned as he smelled the blood wafting through his room. Instantly his unquenched thirst rose again.
Mr. Graff glared when he saw Matthew's sudden change. He then shouted. "CLOSE THE DOOR!"
Matthew lunged at Mr. Graff, who was in front of him, and sucked his blood without hesitation.
