"AH!"
Sara immediately cast her gaze at me when she heard my inadvertent exclamation come out. I looked at her. Sara's brow furrowed as if she was seeing something very strange in front of her. I immediately covered my mouth and put back a face that I think looks normal.
"What is wrong?" Sara asked.
"N-No, nothing."
I could still see the confusion on her face even as she faced forward again. But something even more surprising happened to me here. I returned to the original game starting point, but without being a novice again. I've already even reached the max level!
At this rate, everything will become easier. If indeed the adventure was about to begin, I was very much ready to be a hero for Sara. Uhm, and the kingdom of course.
I still remember almost the whole storyline. Because a good story will usually leave a lasting memory in one mind. After we get out of the forest which is not too far away there will be a sudden attack.
I smiled again. Even when I'm a beginner, the monsters that soon appear are only weak ones. Now that my level is maxed out it looks like I won't be feeling their attacks at all.
And finally, we came out of the forest. And the monsters appeared. They looked like the Orc race. Black, with a badly damaged and disproportionately ugly face, carrying various kinds of large weapons whose forms are also not better than their appearance.
Sara gasped and stretched out her arms to protect me. I took a few steps back too, but later on, I would also fight back. Because the number of Orcs would be difficult if she faced it alone.
"Hide!" Sarah orders.
"Okay," I answered. Sara must have been too focused on the enemy to notice my overly relaxed voice.
I stepped back and leaned against the tree trunk. Ahh... seeing Sara swinging her sword again. Every swing is an art, her hair in a ponytail swaying, her beautiful face grows even cooler when she puts on a serious look.
"HUARGHH!"
I glanced to my side. Two orcs suddenly appeared out of nowhere. I don't remember this scenario being in the original story. But who knows, things could change now.
The two Orcs charged towards me. They both raised a large ax that should have cut me in half like a kitchen knife cutting through a sausage.
But I'm not a sausage. And this is not something that "should" happen.
"Click!"
It was the sound of my finger-snapping. After that, a blue flame appeared from nothing and burned them to ashes in a matter of seconds. Their mounds of ashes were scattered where they had stood before. It's that easy. Ahh, it's good to be at the maximum level.
I turned my face back to Sara. She's still fighting hard. Or was she actually in trouble because the remaining Orcs surrounded her? Then I will help her.
I snapped my finger again and blue flames cremated the orc behind Sara. She didn't notice and stepped on the orc's ashes while continuing to swing her sword.
But it turns out that the orc next to my victim turned to me. And he lunged straight at me. Next, you must know what happened to him.
There were only two orcs that Sara faced. And they look really angry this time. One of them swung their ax and hit Sara's upper arm.
"ARGH!" Sara screamed in pain. I moved to stand up straight on reflex. Then picked up a pebble that was next to my feet and threw it at the orc who had injured Sara.
The pebble pierced its chest so fast, Sara didn't notice. Then she slashed her sword at the already dead Orc and cut off its head.
I didn't know that my throw will be that strong. I didn't give my stats point to strength too much. But I guess when you are a max level you can do that.
The other orc shouted before raising his ax. Well, now is the time for me to make a move. Otherwise, I won't be able to adventure with Sara later.
I ran forward then spread my arms. Lightning then shot towards the orc and finished him off instantly. Supposedly, if I was still at the beginner level, I would need a few attacks to defeat him.
Sara looked at me with her mouth slightly open. She seemed unable to speak. I smiled too.
"I did learn some magic," I said.
Sara woke up from her daydream. She looked around and realized her enemy had gone. Sara put her sword into her scabbard.
"You seem quite talented. Perhaps you could be the reinforcement that the kingdom of Andor needs right now," replied Sara.
Her chest heaved up and down and her breath hitched a little. I didn't know I could see it in this detail because normally I only see this all from the PC screen.
"Let's hurry! We can't waste any more time."
"Yes."
I followed Sara walking. Shadar forest or the shadow forest is the name of this place. Everything is still the same as I remember it on my PC screen. This forest is always cold even when summer comes in this game. The trees were always large and the branches twisted like a twisted giant body.
"Looks like I forgot to introduce myself, huh. My name is Chaesara."
I turned to her.
She looked at me over her shoulder. "If I may ask, how did you come to be in this forest alone? I don't know what would have happened to you if I had not passed here."
"Ah, I... I don't remember." I answered. "Suddenly I woke up here."
Sara frowned, "Strange. Could this be the work of the Demon King?"
The question she directed to herself. And I don't have a good answer for her either. So I chose silence.
"Ah.." I saw Sara holding her injured arm.
I stepped beside her. "I can do some healing magic too," I said.
Sara looked up at me. The pain on her face was obvious.
"I'm fine. It's just a small wound," She said. As expected, Sara is a strong girl. A true warrior. All of that she got from her father.
"I know you're strong," I grabbed her arm. "But that doesn't mean you have to be stupid."
On the other hand, I cast my healing magic. I placed my palm over the wound and a green glow appeared around it. The wound closed, the pain disappeared. And if in this world the game system still applies, then Sara's HP will return to normal.
Damn, I feel so good. I maybe look really cool right now.
"It's done," I let go of her hand. And I noticed Sara's gaze on me. Her black irises stared at me with a clear question mark. I could see her lips were-again-slightly parted.
I just smiled.
Sara blinked a few times then stepped back. Before she finally looked away, I could see the blush on her cheeks.
"Th-thank you," said Sarah.
"Don't t think about it," I replied. "So where else should we go?"
"Oh!" Sara seemed to be shocked. Then she walks ahead of me. "Follow me."
Again I walked behind her and looked at her from behind. Sara tried to turn to look at me, then when she realized I was looking at her she immediately turned her face back to the front.
What's with this adorable behavior? I didn't get this kind of experience in the game!
