[ INDIRA ]
[ Class: HEALER ]
[ LEVEL: 29 ]
Indira then glanced at me. Her face was pale and I could see that her eyes suddenly watered.
Indira immediately wiped the tears that almost came out. "Why can't I see your level, anyway?" asked Indira suddenly. "I can only see your name. Utopia? is a unique name. I've never heard of it."
I blinked a few times. This female Healer suddenly asked about me after previously talking about the murder of a village. I glanced at Bran again. And he looked back at me with a face that seemed to tell me to understand it.
"Indira, what did you involve yourself in this time?" Bran asked Indira.
The Healer immediately turned to him and stood up. "There's a village that's in danger of being attacked by a bunch of bandits. They're targeting that village because of the mines. And I promised to help them, but I can't fight them myself. I'm not the attacking type!"
Indira said it in a sad tone of voice and with dramatic gestures.
"Have they asked the Adventurer's Guild for help?" asked Bran.
Indira shook her head. "They can't afford the bounty. And the bounty for expelling the bandits is quite expensive."
"Don't they have mine? Like you said earlier." I said. Indira turned to me. Her sad face made my chest warm.
"The mine was taken by the kingdom. You must know that the war against the demon army is going on in Borderland, right?"
I know that. According to the game's original scenario, the royal army was fighting to hold back the demon army in a region called Borderland. It is the borders of this kingdom and the Blight. To keep them from entering the kingdom. The war has been going on for years.
If it was in the Game, none of this would have happened. There are only wars to be won. Everything about the costs, and the aftermath of the war is not explained in the scenario.
This time it seems that the Gameworld no longer exists. This world is real.
"He's still a Novice," said Bran.
"Is that true ?" Indira looked at me. "You don't look like a beginner."
"He just bought my stuff. Hahaha."
Indira gave Bran a sharp look. "How can you laugh when a village is threatened!"
Bran fell silent.
"I know quite a bit about that war," I said. "But I don't know about the affected villages."
"Then you know now, right?" Ask Indira. I nod. "Do you want to help me?"
"In the first place, why did you make a promise to them if you weren't sure you could keep it?" I asked.
Indira sighed. And she took hold of her staff again to lean on as if a great burden had just been placed on her.
"He's the kind of person who can't refuse the help of a troubled person. But usually, she's getting herself into trouble." Bran said from beside me while looking at Indira.
The healer walked back to her chair and sat limply. Then a moan of sadness escaped her mouth. She covered her face with her palms. I can still hear her voice even when blocked by a hand.
"What will happen to them..."
"If the Guild doesn't want to help, you can't do anything," Bran said. Indira doesn't seem to listen.
I sighed. Seeing her like that made me feel sorry too.
"I will help you."
Indira lifted her face and looked at me. She wiped her tears violently.
"Is that true ?!"
I nodded. "Don't think about the pay."
Bran looks nervous, and I look at him. "What ?"
"Those bandits are probably very strong. And they're more than one. You're still a novice even though you're well equipped. Don't put yourself in danger just because you feel sorry for her. Or the villagers."
I smiled at Bran. "Thanks for your concern. But I can take care of myself."
"I don't want to lose my potential customer."
"Huh? So that's your real goal?!" My smile immediately faded.
"Yes, business is business. But I do worry about you."
"It's okay, Bran. Don't worry about me," I said.
Then I approached Indira.
"Show me the village," I said to her who was still looking at me from the chair.
"Oh!" She immediately got up with a smile. Her emotions change very quickly. "Okay !"
Indira and I walked out of the Blacksmith. The real reason I helped her was to raise my reputation in this kingdom. Besides feeling sorry for the villagers.
With a good reputation in this world, things could go smoothly. And maybe the King will look at me as an important person later. That would bring me closer to Sara.
"By the way, how do we get there?" I asked.
Indira turned to me and smiled. "I do not know." She answered.
"Huh?!" my brow furrowed.
"I don't know. At that time I was on a quest and there with the other members then I met a woman who finally asked me for help in the middle of the road."
Damn, is she this stupid? Why does she so often make decisions without thinking first?
If so, what should I do? Teleportation magic can only be performed by a high-level Sorcerer but I said that I'm still a beginner.
"Let's find a horse rental place then." "
You have the money, right?" asked Indira.
"We pay each."
Indira did not immediately answer. She looks thoughtful while puffing out her cheeks. I became a little suspicious of what this woman was thinking.
"How about We just rent one," said Indira.
"Why ?"
"I can't ride a horse."
A sigh escaped my mouth. I looked at her with growing suspicion. Why did I want to help her earlier?
"Fine. We'll just rent one." I said then walked ahead of her.
After several times I asked the people here, I finally know where I can rent a horse. I walked there while Indira followed behind me. Her steps were soft and slow. I had to stop and wait for her to catch up.
Indira is quite beautiful. She is also an Adventurer like me. Her eyes are large and clear with black irises. I could always see the sincerity in her eyes from the first time she saw me. Unfortunately, she thought too much of others until she forget about everything else. I could even tell her true nature immediately after meeting her for less than an hour.
Stable has been seen in plain sight. A place called Stallion. Indira and I went inside where a dark-skinned and stern-faced man was waiting.
He glanced at us out of the corner of his eye as we entered.
"We'd like to rent a horse," I said. At first glance, this man is not a man who likes small talk like Bran.
"Fifty silver coins." He answered. This man's voice was normal, not too deep or too high. It's just that the cold tone that accompanies it makes me want to finish quickly.
After handing over fifty silver coins we were given a black stallion that looked strong. At least even though he wasn't friendly, the man took good care of his horse.
As I expected, Indira had a hard time getting on the horse. So I helped her by offering my hand as support.
Once she was up I took a position in front. I don't know how to ride a horse in the Real World either, but here everything goes so easy for me.
I pulled the rope and the horse began to walk slowly on the white paving. Splitting the crowd of people who are busy with themselves. Until finally the city gate that I had passed was seen.
To my surprise, my first quest after moving here was to save a village.
