"Because I'm talking to you, I can't focus on seeing the road. Aren't the trails here before?" Said Alev, repeatedly looking at the ground, still surprised.
But the Death shrugged his shoulders, indicating that he didn't know it either.
Alev missed himself and shifted the leaf on the ground to look for trails. Finding it wasn't difficult. He just had to look for an environment where there was no grass growing on it or growing shorter because it was a sign the people often passed through the way.
Alev looked around the surrounding streets, looking for traces of the road again. Even though he had circled a few trees while looking at the ground, he still couldn't find any traces of the road.
The Death, watching him silently, looked confused because he saw Alev looking so panicked, searching for the trail.
"Why do you look so panicky? Does it matter if you lose track of the path?" Said the Death while tilting its head, seeing Alev like a dog searching for a place to bury its bone.
Alev still ignores the death question. He is still busy looking at the ground, looking for path traces.
"Hey! What's the problem?" Asked the Death, curious while patting him on the shoulder.
"Shut up! You're not a living being, so you don't understand the dangers of getting lost in the forest like myself." Alev said with his hands driving him away.
Surprised, the Death scratched his head, looking confused.
The Death lowered its head, watching him, "Dangerous? Does that mean you're going to die?" Said the Death with a curled lip smirk at him.
Alev glances at him, "I already told you I don't want to die and be reincarnated again. Instead of lowering my spirits, you better help me find the path!" Said Alev looking annoyed at him.
"Wouldn't it be faster if you died right away? So that I can help carry your soul to another body." Said the Death looking blankly at him.
Alev now turned to look at him. He paused to look for the path, "Listen!" Alev pointed his finger at his face, "I don't know what your brain is made of. But can't you think of dying as a snack that you can eat anytime and anywhere." Said Alev while frowning intensely, waving his hand around and blowing his emotion.
Then Alev turned his body away from death, and for a moment, he turned back to him, pointing his finger at the Death.
"I don't want to hear you say that again, mind you!" Said Alev while turning his back away from him.
The Death was silent for a moment, hearing Alev say that in a tone that sounded so irritated at him. The Death repeatedly blinked as He watched Alev increasing the distance from himself.
Alev didn't care about that. He didn't even glance back at the Death to ensure he was still there. All Alev was thinking about right now was looking for the path of the road again.
He looks panicked because, from his experience as a soldier, being lost in the forest without knowing the direction is the same as looking for dying.
Even though someone challenges it by living in the woods for survival, they are still aware of where they are and are mentally prepared. But Alev's state was different with his injured body. He didn't have much time to survive in the woods. The quicker he got out, the better.
Those who did that must-know information about the forest, from the weather, the type of forest, even the endemic animals that live in that place, but right now Alev was in a forest that he didn't know the exact information about, not to mention he was in an unfavorable condition this time. It made him realize that his chances of survival were tiny if he didn't know which direction he was going.
He saw a thin smoke coming out from his mouth, he suddenly stood looking around the forest, and for a moment, he felt the air in the woods was so cold with a mist that slowly appeared, making his vision increasingly difficult to see clearly.
He realized there was something strange about this forest that he didn't know about it.
Realizing it. Alev didn't see the Death as far as his eyes could see, making him know he was alone in the dark and foggy forest.
Growl~
A groan amid the wind made Alev even more alert, he took out his knife and looked around again, even though it was only a sound, but in this dark forest, a voice would sound a bit scary.
Shrub-shrub!
Alev heard a sound again from the bushes moving not far away from him and made him pay attention to it as he held the knife tightly with his left hand.
Not knowing what was behind the bush made Alev feel anxious. His mind still seemed focused on waiting for something behind the bush to appear. He tried to stand firmly, despite his shaking from feeling the pain.
Growl~
"Hiiiikk!"
Just as the scary voice appeared, Alev heard another sound behind the moving bush. Although he only briefly heard it, Alev realized it was someone's voice. A girl's voice, to be precise.
"It's like the voice of someone who sounds scared," He muttered.
Alev quickly approached the bush and combed through it, looking for the source of the sound. His eyes darted around the bush until he finally found some girl squatting while covering her ears.
Alev saw a little girl with dark hair, her hands covering her ears and looking so thin that it made her collar bones visible. The girl seemed to be shaking with fear, closing her eyes until she didn't realize that Alev was near her.
Alev grabbed the girl's hand, "hey! Hey! Are you alright?" Alev said, pulling the girl's hand.
The girl slowly opened her eyes when she felt someone grab her hand with her eyes looking at Alev.
He saw her irises were dark purple, making the purple color look faint in this darkness.
As soon as the girl turned, she looked up to see Alev's face. The girl couldn't help noticing the face of someone standing nearby. Slowly her tears came out and burst into tears when she saw Alev, and she quickly hugged his legs, crying out loud.
