Imperial High is a boarding school divided into mainly; the scholars class, middle class, upper class, science class, and the elite class. Each of these classes has four-year levels; 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and the advanced year.
Students who belong to the scholars' class come from the lower society, having good brains without the proper budget. Thus, they are given the privilege by the imperial family in exchange for lifetime service.
The middle and upper classes are composed of wealthy students, able to pay the school fees. These departments are not strict with their grades or achievements as long as they strictly follow the rules and regulations within the campus.
Science class is a department where every student from different societies meets, depending on their IQ capital. Students who belong here are geniuses amongst the overall population of the school. And they are highly competitive, to the point of creating legal sections-warfare at the end of every month where students compete in the arena.
And on the top of the pyramid sits the elite class. Children born from powerful families gathered here. They have high exposure to politics, business, military, and literary movements under the supervision of the government. Year levels belonging to the elite class only have two sections each, with a maximum of fifteen students.
The qualifications from this department are extraordinarily high, and students who are currently enrolled here far surpassed the science class. They also control the majority of the students' council and organizational committees.
Cresencia now belongs here.
She halted her steps and stared intently at the section's code on the door, boldly printed in gold. She pressed her thumb on the identification tablet and waited for it to scan her fingerprints. When the scanner confirmed her entry, the doors opened automatically.
Nine pairs of eyes glanced her way, but she was unbothered upon noticing their inquiring gazes. In the far left corner, she saw her name. With heavy silence, her footsteps echoed within the room.
As she reached her designated seat, she surveyed the area in case of hidden pranks and sat down when it was considered safe. As a total outsider, she was unwilling to introduce herself first or initiate an awkward conversation with her classmates.
The bell rang shortly, and someone entered. It was a short lady in high-stiletto heels. Her uniform was uncomfortable to look at, and it was exaggeratedly fit. The eyelash extensions were too thick, and her lips looked similar to hookers, designed to steal someone else's husband.
"Good morning, class, I am your new instructor, and perhaps we also have a new student" the woman smiled seductively.
"My name is Emerald Chen, and I'll be facilitating your homeroom from now on-- you can call me Ms. Love" then she disgustingly winked at the male students.
"Has she gone the wrong room?" a girl with weird sunglasses commented
"I think so too, but she had access to enter-- it seems complicated a bit," the male seated next to her responded
"Now let's get to know each other, starting from the right side--"
"Excuse me, ma'am. You might have skipped the training. The elite division has a rule where teachers cannot ask for students to introduce themselves. We are protected by the Imperial Act 2727, whereby identities should be kept confidential. No one can force us to disclose" the girl wearing a tender pink barbie coat pointed out her clear interest.
Cresencia was partly surprised by their rules.
"Miku, remind me to review the laws published by the school when we get home."
"Yes, master-- I think I've seen a copy of it on the school's handbook, which was given to you by your second brother."
"Hmm, I wasn't paying attention to it when I received the files. This school is odd."
"Master, look... the teacher's aura changed into an evil breath."
Cresencia was alerted by the sudden changes, yet she also noticed that none of her classmates cared. It's not that they can't see a person's aura or even tiny details like emotions, but they don't care about who's talking in front.
"Has the school liberated them too much?"
"That might also be a part of the rules master, or else I can search it for you in the library. I'm sure we can get a copy of the handbook there. You can close your eyes and read the information silently."
"Good idea, thank you, Miku."
Based on Cresencia's observation, everyone inside the classroom is not normal. People have higher intelligence, reaction speed, abnormal wit, talent, and capabilities. They do their things, and the teacher can't interfere at all.
"Excuse me--" someone tapped her shoulder
Cresencia raised her brow.
"Something?" and asked.
"I find you interesting. My name's Peter Lin. What's yours?" he offered a hand.
"I see. I'm Cresencia Qin. Nice to meet you," but she did not shake his hand.
"Interesting, tell me, are you Qin family's eldest lady?"
"Hmm," she nodded
"That's great! Can we be friends? No malice, of course-- well, if you agree to..." he asked, but Cresencia just stared at him, observing the erratic fluctuations and changes between his emotions and aura.
"Why?" Cresencia asked
"What 'why?' don't you have any friends here?" He asked as he looked at the rest of their classmates
"Not that I care of," Cresencia responded lowly.
"Oh, uh-- but I wanted to be your friend!" He insisted
"Up to you," she shrugged off, while Peter moved his chair and sat closer to her
"Since you are new, let me accompany you and by the way, tell you some important news" he cheerfully spoke
Even though Cresencia remained unmoved, he talked a lot, but he was already happy that she listened to him. When lunch came, he proposed that they should eat together. Yet upon going to the school entrance, they met the crazy crowd.
He shielded her and guided her towards a secret mirrored passage where they could see everything that happened outside.
"What is this place?"
"This is a passage intended for the elite class and the board members of the school, special guests also come here often to observe the progress of the school, and I'll tell you more about it," he offered
