The following day Cresencia went to a commercial district nearest to the most famous university in the Imperial capital. She was casually strolling with three bodyguards, dressed in formal clothes. The sun shone brightly, and they saw no cloud in the clear blue sky.
Miku was in her space, dictating the direction of their first stop. They've planned long enough to look for businesses that accept gems and medicinal plants ready for auction. Through thorough research, they have seen precious things in society today. Materials that no one wants but the citizens need to live.
She sat back in the car, waiting for the news gathered by one of her most trusted guards, William. He is a part-time lawyer who handles the troubles of her younger brothers. And a loyal guard who has served twenty-five years of his life in Qin's family.
Upon seeing him walk out of the building, Cresencia guessed that the transaction was successful. And she did it by solely relying on her ability to see the flow of emotions surrounding William. Miku now can connect himself with the internet, but he needed more knowledge to upgrade into an infiltrating hacker.
"Young lady, they have agreed with your agreement, and the owner himself wants to meet you for cooperation."
Cresencia adjusted her veil and went out with William and Henry. They brought a large chest along the way, and the branch manager himself ran over to gather the goods. He was so excited that he had forgotten to greet the seller's house.
"Young lady, this is Mr. Garrett Sy, the current manager of Imperial capital's largest auction house."
"Eldest lady, it's a pleasure to meet you," he greeted, embarrassed by his previous behavior.
"Likewise," Cresencia answered with a hand gesture
"The boss is waiting for your arrival, young madam."
"Lead the way."
Cresencia nodded, and all of them stepped into the innermost chamber of the building. From a distance, she saw a familiar thread of breath. But when she looked in the direction of the energy, she only saw a silhouette.
"Miku, can you trace the aura of Peter?"
"Upper northeast master, he is here."
"Hmm, we must be careful not to be discovered."
"I will set up an illusion master to keep you hidden from familiar faces."
"Thank you, Miku, and I also believe that no one would attempt to mess with me with my veil on."
A woman not older than forty-three sat on a swivel chair comfortably, and they could see it from the door. She was drinking some coffee, but her aura was not so happy. Cresencia also noticed that William's face didn't look that good.
"Master, do you think they have a holiday?"
"Hmm-- there must be something going on between the two. I learned from my mother that William was taking the day off on the day of my accident to visit his wife."
"If the wife died early, what's the connection between him and the boss?"
"Lovers destined to meet, but not fated to be together till the end-- anyway, let's stop gossiping, and it's bad to talk about other people's love affairs, Miku."
"I get it, and I'm just a little curious about fate and how you see it, master."
"It's interesting to do, but I guess-- I am not capable enough to see each person's fate."
"Why do you say that, master?"
"Because I was not able to see anything from Mr. Piel."
"Maybe you have an indirect connection with him, master. You can't see the thread of his fate because it might affect both of your future."
"I don't know, Miku. I want to live an ordinary life from now on and seek the purpose that father wanted me to play"
Cresencia walked in, and the female boss offered a seat. The paint of the office was cream and white, and behind the boss were shelves stacked with trophies and certificate awards. There were also pictures in frames, young teens in pale blue uniforms. William sat behind Cresencia, but he was avoiding someone else's stare. The ambiance of the scene felt a little awkward for them.
"I am Mathilda Su, the owner of Open-High. It's nice to meet you, miss--?"
"Cresencia Qin, it's a pleasure to meet you, Ms. Su. Should we proceed with contract drafting, or do you want to ask some questions about this cooperation?"
"Ms. Qin is so straightforward, and I like that character in a business partner. Can I inquire why the young miss wants to enter business this early?"
"For fun."
When Cresencia answered, Mathilda, choked on her saliva. Wiliam bowed his head and pretended not to hear anything. He knew that the eldest lady was a tiger pretending as a cat. The lady consistently portrays a stoic face, but her heart is warm. She doesn't like joking with others, but her reasons sometimes make people think its a nonsense.
"You remind me of someone Ms. Qin."
"Who?"
Mathilda smiled, but Cresencia could feel the sadness spreading behind her. Mathilda's smile was also gone, and they started to concentrate on drafting the agreement. Then Cresencia shook Mathilda's hand before she went out.
"Let's have a good lunch. Henry, you go with William and look for seats."
Cresencia stands close to the door. Then she noticed her heart's erratic beating.
"No, it's not similar to hyperventilating-- what's wrong with me?"
A young man in a tuxedo flashed in front of her. She can smell someone else's blood on him. The scent of death lingered around him, but Cresencia could not see his aura. He looks closely related to Eutiquio Piel, but Cresencia could see two different personas if she compares them with each other.
"Miku, did you notice something?"
"Master, he has the same aura-less as Mr. Piel, and their back figures looked identical."
"Can you take a photo of him and try to look for people who look like him online?"
"I'll try my best, master."
"I have a vague feeling about this person, he's like someone I know of, but I can't remember where I saw him."
The man Cresencia talked about suddenly turned to meet her gaze, then he smiled.
