Sybil suddenly felt exhausted, but she was terrified to fall asleep again and risk being stuck in the darkness. She fought against her sleepiness while Andrius stroked her hair and held her close.
It was so hard to believe that they were together again. Sybil was sure at least one of them would have died as a result of that accident. It was nothing short of a miracle that they were both alive.
In fact, the more Sybil thought about the accident, the more questions she had. What exactly had happened to them?
She had been so worried about Andrius that she never took the time to think about how they were in the accident in the first place. But even thinking about it made her head hurt, and she moaned as she moved her fingers to rub her temple.
“What’s wrong? Are you alright?” Andrius frantically asked when he heard Sybil make that sound of discomfort.
“My head still hurts,” she said.
