“Yes,” Sybil said with a gulp. “I think we have some things we should discuss.”
Andrius nodded but didn’t say anything. He kept his eyes on Sybil as if he could find the answers he searched for simply by looking at her.
Sybil felt like he was looking deep into her soul, and she found more fear than comfort in it. She had never truly been scared of Andrius, but something about the way he looked at her unsettled her.
Neither of them knew where to start, but they both had so many questions for the other. Tension started to fill the room the longer they sat in silence and stared at each other. Finally, it was Sybil who broke first.
“Why were we in an accident? What happened?” she asked Andrius.
“It wasn’t an accident. We were attacked,” Andrius casually replied as he ran his fingers through his hair.
“What?! By who?” Sybil asked in shock.
