Before Sybil could start to use her magic to work to heal Andrius, right as she was about to close her eyes, she felt his hands grip her wrists. Her eyes fluttered open and she looked up and found hesitation written all over his face.
“Trust me, this will hurt a lot less than dying from an infection that has reached your heart,” Sybil told him.
But Andrius shook her head as if she had misunderstood him. That led to Sybil being confused. If he wasn’t worried about the pain, then what?
“This is too much and I don’t want you over exerting yourself. I almost lost you once, and I’d rather die than go through that again,” Andrius said like it was a warning. “I’m not letting you do this.”
“You have to, Andrius. It may be too much for even a doctor to fix, so let me finish healing you. What I did was buy you a week or two, so let me heal you more and give you the rest of your life back,” Sybil pleaded.
“Not at the cost of yours,” Andrius said with finality.
