Sybil’s throat suddenly felt dry. The second she had decided to use her magic on Andrius, she knew that if it worked and he survived, that she would have to explain herself to him.
But that didn’t make her any less nervous or scared of his reaction to the news.
She had never told anyone about her powers before because she was terrified that they were dark magic. She already was so alone in this world, and she didn’t want to be left behind or shunned by the few people she loved and cared about.
Though she was scared, Sybil had faith in her relationship with Andrius. She had faith that their love would be enough for him to not abandon her.
So, she took a deep breath and said, “I have something that I must confess to you.”
Andrius didn’t move a muscle. Instead, he just waited for her to continue, so she did.
