Andrius sat on the chair and rested his elbows on his knees as he leaned forward to observe the doctor examining Sybil. He remained that way, on high alert, the entire time the doctor was in the room with them.
After the doctor confirmed that Sybil seemed to be in better health apart from the fact that she needed to drink a lot of water to rehydrate herself and eat a lot to replenish the body weight she had lost, he left the couple alone again.
Both of them were relieved to hear that the doctor did not think that Sybil would fall back into a coma now that she was awake. Additionally, the wound on her head was healing nicely and didn’t show signs of infection.
Something Sybil did notice, though, was that when the doctor asked to examine Andrius, he was quick to shake his head and wave him off. Sybil hadn’t realized that he was still injured because he acted as if he was his usual self. She made a mental note to check in with him once the doctor left.
