A couple of days passed.
Throughout the years, Qin's cultivation had risen slowly, he was now at the halfway mark of the mage rank. This was unbelievably slow progress for Qin, seeing as how he had become mage rank so quick.
As Qin was cultivating in his room, he heard a knock on the door. 'Why does this keep happening.' Qin thought to himself as he walked over and opened the door. Outside of the door was Hephas and the crew.
"What are you guys doing here?" Qin asked.
"Today is the day of the holy tribunal, don't you know?" Yen said excitedly.
Qin truly had no idea what Yen was talking about. "What's that?" He said.
"What!? You seriously don't know what it is?!" Rose blurted out.
At this moment, Qin noticed that all of them were dressed up. "It is some kind of special event?" Qin asked, confused.
"Ugh! Just get dressed!" They yelled at Qin.
After a couple of minutes, the six left Qin room, all dressed. This was the first time Qin had worn a suit, it was quite uncomfortable. Back on earth, he would wear luxurious robes whenever he would dress up for an important event.
Qin still had no idea what was happening, so he asked someone to fill him in.
Spade spoke. "The holy tribunal is an event that occurs randomly every couple of years where the three largest kingdoms meet to have political discussions. It's a large banquet where many royals and nobles gather. Sometimes, even fights break out, those are the most exciting parts of the holy tribunal." Spade said with bright eyes.
"The three largest kingdoms? Are you saying that the kingdom of Loran is one of the three largest kingdoms in the world?" Qin asked.
"What!? Of course not!" Yen answered. "There are hundreds of kingdoms on this planet, the three kingdoms meeting today are not even in the top 100 most powerful kingdoms in the world kingdom ranking! Don't be silly!" Yen said.
After walking for a little bit, the six arrived at the main living quarters. To Qin's surprise, everything had been taken out and it was fully decorated to be a banquet. Many people had already arrived and were talking while drinking fine wine.
At the back of the large room, there were three large thrones that were encrusted with precious metals and gemstones of all kinds. The fabrics and patterns were also very intricate, it was truly a throne meant for a king!
As Qin and his crew arrived, many people looked in their direction and murmured amongst themselves. The six went to one of the many tables that were brought in for the banquet and sat down. Their parents had another table nearby.
It was quite a lively atmosphere overall. After waiting for a little while, Qin received his food. At the same time, a large horn sounded that silenced everyone in the room at once. Everyone looked on towards the main entrance with smiles on their faces.
"The Great Million family of the Yuun Kingdom have arrived!" A short man with a mask announced. After saying this, drums and trumpets started to play a patriotic song as four people walked inside of the banquet from the main entrance with another person following shortly behind them.
The first two were the king and queen of the Yuun kingdom, king Arthur Million and queen Jofinia Million respectively. The queen was relatively young, being around the same age as Qin's mother. She wore a luxurious and flamboyant blue dress.
The king that walked in had a mighty aura. His sheer footsteps could send a shiver down any average human's back. He wore a large blue robe over his shoulders and his head was gifted with a large golden crown. He had a small brown beard and was quite tall, reaching around 6'2 feet in height. From a first glance, anyone could see that his physique was quite muscular.
Following them were a 15-year-old boy and a 10-year-old boy. The 15-year-old was also quite tall in stature, being 6'1 ft. and having long brown hair that reached his shoulders. His build was also quite muscular, similar to his father's. The boy who was the same age as Qin also wore a small blue robe.
Another person walked in behind all of them. He wasn't a part of the royal family but was the elder of the Yuun Magistrate. He looked quite old and walked with the utmost elegance, having a long white beard and a fully white robe with stripes of blue.
As they walked in, the silence did not break. Although everyone present in the room were nobles who were used to being greater than others, even nobles knew their place. In front of true royalty, they had to keep their mouths shut and their heads low.
The king walked over and sat down on the throne on the left as he overlooked the room and the royal family sat down at a table near him. The Yuun magistrate elder stood next to him behind the throne. The silence finally subsided for only a moment before the horn was blown again.
The short man jumped up in the air and yelled into the horn. "The hosts of this year's holy tribunal, the Vasilias royal family of the Loran kingdom have arrived!" He shouted at the top of his lungs.
Drums started to play loudly again. As Qin heard the name of the Vasilias royal family, he immediately directed his attention to the main entrance.
Once again, everyone was silenced as the royal family walked in. First came the queen along with the king. They both wore clothes similar to the previous royal family, only the color was black instead of blue.
As the king walked inside, his aura matched that of the first king, you couldn't tell who was stronger in any way, their aura was simply too overwhelming to try and access. The roaring flame, Kane Vasilias had made his entrance. His face had a stern expression.
Behind them was a girl and boy who were the same age as Qin. Qin disliked Kane, but he would not let his anger get in his way.
After them came another person. Qin was expecting another elder of a royal magistrate, but what he saw shocked him! The person that walked inside had an aura that rivaled even that of the kings.
"Ragnar!?" Qin said to himself.
Ragnar walked inside, wearing plain clothes that he could wear in his everyday life. He walked with his head held high and scanned the entire room upon entering. As he looked at the eyes of people, they all looked down, facing away from him. Eventually, he made eye contact with Qin and smiled.
Kane sat down on the right side throne as Ragnar stood behind it. 'This man who helped me, could he really be such an important figure?' Qin thought to himself.
Finally, the horns sounded one last time. The short masked man now took off his mask. "Introducing the new kingdom that has just recently joined this holy tribunal by succeeding the previous Cerulean kingdom, please welcome the great Hanjiao family of the Shanhui kingdom!" The man yelled.
This time, the previous group of drummers was replaced by a larger band. Everyone at the banquet was equally confused, including the royal families. This was the first time the Hanjiao family had introduced themselves to the people of Loran.
Suddenly, conches started to play as the overwhelmingly large sound of drums quickly filled the entire castle.
The song that the drums played was epic as the Hanjiao family made their entrance. Both the king and queen wore clothes that Qin was familiar with, they seemed to closely resemble royal Asian clothing.
The queen of the Shanhui kingdom, Baozhai Hanjiao, had fully red and orange flamboyant clothing on that resembled flame and fire. She also had small streaks of red paint on the sides of her face, this pattern was the same for the entire Hanjiao family.
The king, Zhang Wei, was tall and mighty, his face looked much younger than the previous kings although he was the same age. He walked with fineness and showed class that was unmatched by the other kingdoms.
"Hohoho! What a grand entry!" The king of Yuun laughed.
The Shanhui ruler also had long, bright red feathers that arose from his shoulders and went straight behind his head.
Behind them were two of their kids, one looked to be around 15-year-old similar to the previous prince, and also had long bright red feathers erecting from his shoulders. His face makeup also matched his entire family. As he entered the room, he immediately made eye contact with the Yuun prince.
next to the prince of Shanhui was his nine-year-old younger brother whose clothing also resembled the fire aesthetic of his entire family.
This entire family had their heads held high and looked down upon everyone with their eyes as if they were greater than the rest. However, everyone could tell that this royal family was almost of a different class compared to the rest, especially Qin.
'That is more like a royal family.' Qin thought to himself at the entrance of the Hanjiao family.
The Shanhui king walked over to the throne in the middle and sat down whole putting one leg over the other.
As the young prince who was the same age as Qin sat down at his table, he locked eyes with Qin who was not far away. The entire family held their chins up towards the sky, looking down upon everyone with their eyes. Many had probably not heard of what this was, but back in Asia, it was quite common.
It was a way to tell others "I am greater than you". Qin had noticed that the kid was still doing the same thing as he looked at him. As soon as Qin saw this, he did not dare look away.
'Who does this little brat think he is? Locking eyes with Qin Vasilias himself!' Qin thought to himself.
Although Qin was able to bear his anger toward Kane, he would never let himself be looked down upon. Qin started to get up but immediately sat back down as the prince looked away. Qin was quite confused, seeing as how the prince was not looking like he was going to give up any time soon. He then looked at where the prince of the Shanhui kingdom was looking.
"So we meet again Zhou Fan!" The oldest prince of the Yuun kingdom said loudly while standing up and facing the oldest prince of the Shanhui kingdom.
"Indeed we do Leon Million, so what of it?" Zhou spoke.
As people heard the two yell at each other from across the room, they cleared way out of their path of speech.
"What of it? Why not settle the score? This would be a perfect opportunity no? Or are you going to cower out again?!" Leon yelled again.
"Me cowering out!? It was you who cowered out that day!" Zhou said as red hot mana started to quickly envelop fists.
"Let's see if you cower out again!" Leon said as he put his hands together in the direction of Zhou and infused mana into his palms.
'Will I be able to see a fight?' Qin was pleasantly surprised.
"Zhou." A silent and cold voice broke the loud commotion.
Zhou Fan immediately erased all traces of magic in his hands. "Father" Zhou said, facing the Shanhui kingdom's supreme ruler.
"Cowering out again, are we!? Is the Shanhui kingdom such cowards?!" Leon said, mocking the Shanhui kingdom. Now, the small quarrel had turned into something much bigger. No one dared to laugh at Leon's joke, for if they did, they feared their heads being taken off of their necks.
Zhou didn't bat an eye at Leon and continued to look at his father. The king of Yuun also had his eyes on the king of Shanhui as did almost everyone else in that room, as if everyone waited for his answer.
"Zhou, show them that the Shanhui kingdom never accepts mockery lightly." The king of the Shanhui kingdom said nonchalantly.
A smile appeared on Zhou Fan's face. "Shall we get started?" He said as he faced Leon. Everyone immediately backed up, creating enough space for their battle.
After a short pause, both princes dashed at each other at full speed, clashing their hands that were infused with mana. The blows that they shared were incredibly fast, Qin couldn't even see them. It only looked like sparks flying into the air.
Leon quickly started to get overwhelmed by Zhou's combat ability and created some distance between them. As he got several meters away, he formed his hands together in the direction of Zhou.
A large ray of mana suddenly burst out of his hands and flew towards Zhou. Zhou quickly took out one of his feathers on his shoulder and deflected the ray of mana into the ground.
"Wha-" Leon managed to say as Zhou seemingly teleported in front of him, Zhou's speed was far superior to that of Leons. As Zhou's sharp hand that was in the shape of a blade got only a couple of inches away from Leon's neck, he stopped himself from connecting, giving Leon enough time to step back.
Zhou then put his hand down to his side as Leon fell to the floor in surprise. "I didn't even have to use sorcery against the likes of you. Never speak badly of the Shanhui kingdom as long as you live." Zhou said with a look of disgust in his eyes before walking back to his table.
After a short moment of silence in the entire banquet, Leon stood up while looking down at the floor and simply walked out. The atmosphere became very awkward immediately.
Suddenly, the horn sounded again as the short man started to talk. 'Who's this?' Qin thought to himself.
"Finally, please welcome the representatives of the mightiest guild in all of Loran! The Han Guild!" The short man said as he pointed his palm towards the main entrance.
Three people walked entered the castle. The first person in front was the vice guild master of the Han guild, Hulk Pelos. He was an absolute brute, reaching over 7'1 ft in height and having large bulging muscles popping out of all of his clothing. As he walked inside, he smiled warmly at everyone present. His aura was also quite formidable, but one could tell that he did not possess as much power as the kings.
Behind him was one of the elders of the Han guild, the steel elder Lance Holgomont. He was a large man but nowhere near as large as the vice guild master. He looked to have an irritated look on his face.
Finally, behind him was someone that Qin thought was quite familiar. He was a slender man young with an even more slender face. As he walked inside, his face held the overconfidence and cockiness of an early twenty-year-old.
'Is that?' Qin said in his head.
