Yen immediately charged at Qin with a sword in hand. Qin simply formed a full front stance with his body. He could tell that his sword skills would be drastically lowered due to this new body of his, but it would still easily be enough for Yen.
After Yen stepped within three meters from him, Qin dashed forward, slashing his sword and hitting Yen right in the stomach with full-blown force. Yen was immediately thrown backward and into the ground.
After tumbling for a little bit, Yen stopped and exclaimed loudly in pain. The duel was clearly already over.
'That was even easier than I thought, I didn't even get to try out any magic.' Qin thought to himself.
"Stop! This fight is over!" The girl yelled.
Spade quickly went to his brother's side. "You didn't even use any mana! Is this an attempt to disgrace us?!" Spade yelled at Qin.
Before Qin could reply, Yen's eldest brother spoke. "Spade!" He said as he looked at Spade with a stern expression on his face. "I-" Spade couldn't talk. He quickly gave Yen a strong healing potion to heal his broken ribs.
"Congrats on winning, you are truly much more powerful than we had expected!" Said Yen's eldest brother, facing Qin and smiling.
Qin however was in deep thought. 'Hmm, too weak, they are far too weak.' He thought to himself. Qin then looked at Yen's eldest brother. "Yes, I am powerful, but your not." Qin replied.
"Excuse me?" Yen's eldest brother said in a confused tone. "What do you mean?" He said, still confused.
"The problem is that you guys are far too weak! How can the men of my kingdom be so weak? This needs to be fixed as soon as possible." Qin replied. Yen's eldest brother was speechless. He was blown away by what he had just heard.
"That is absurd! How do you even know our strengths? Don't get cocky because you beat the weakest one among all of us!" The girl yelled at Qin.
Qin looked over to the girl with no expression on his face. Almost instantly, he was behind her. "Wha-" She barely uttered before getting knocked out with a single tap from Qin's sword from the back. Qin then seemingly teleported behind everyone present, knocking them out one by one. He let out a sigh of frustration.
After all of them woke up again, Qin said the same thing he had said before. "You guys are simply too weak! Without even using any magic, I can easily kill all of you if I wanted to. Even if your magic was to be greater than mine, your ability to use your skills and spells is utter garbage!" Qin said to everyone there.
Everyone was still slightly dazed from what had just happened. They were all speechless except for Yen. "Why do you care about us being strong anyway? Are you crazy? We don't even know you!" He yelled out to Qin. Everyone looked at Qin for his answer.
"If I am going to rule over this world, I need strength as my foundation" Qin said with an unconquerable tone.
At first, everyone thought that he was joking but quickly realized that he in fact was not. After looking at the fire and intensity in his eyes, everyone knew that he was clearly completely serious. For some reason, they couldn't help but respect his resolve. Suddenly, they all felt a weird sensation deep within themselves, for some reason, they trusted Qin even more now.
Although in normal circumstances, they would believe someone saying that to me mentally insane, they didn't feel that way for some reason in this particular case.
'What? Passive skill?' Qin thought to himself.
"I'll meet you all here tomorrow morning. Be sure to come or else you will get a beating like never before!" Qin said as he walked out of the training grounds. No one could say anything, rather, they didn't know what to say.
"What in the hell just happened?" Said a guard who was overlooking the entire situation.
"No Idea. I don't know about you guys, but I will definitely come here tomorrow morning. This Qin has piqued my curiosity!" Spade yelled before leaving the training ground.
"I think I will as well. It won't hurt to see what he has planned." Another kid said before leaving. Just like this, they all had left the training grounds.
The guard was left feeling dumbfounded.
----------
Qin spent the rest of the way, wandering around the castle and receiving some information from unsuspecting victims. He went up to random people in the castle and asked them multiple questions.
The castle itself was no normal estate. It was only called the castle by name, in actuality, it was a large and heavily protected palace made of two compartments, the inner palace, and the outer palace. The outer palace was where most people who served the king and the sub-royal families lived.
The main royal family, or in other words, the supreme royal family lived in the inner palace which was considerably smaller. Where Qin had gone to was the dining hall of the main royal family in the outer palace. This dining hall was created so that the main royal family could have meetings over dinner with other royal families.
They, of course, wouldn't let any royal family or even any person who wasn't a royal or who didn't have permission to enter the inner palace, that was far too dangerous. Qin also learned something else that was quite interesting. The kingdom in which they presided, the kingdom of Loran, was only one kingdom of the hundreds that existed in the Mortal Plains where all humans lived.
This world was many times as large as the earth, having hundreds of kingdoms in a single continent, each filled with tens of millions of citizens. Hearing this only strengthened Qin's desire to Conquer this planet even more.
While asking around, Qin saw a person who seemed to be quite powerful near the main living quarters of the outer palace of the castle. The main living quarters was a large area full of luxurious furniture and large couches to sit down. It was all looked down upon by a balcony surrounding the entire room.
The man was on the balcony looking over the tens of people in the main living quarters. Unlike normal castles back on earth where only the royal family resided in the castle, many people who served the kingdom would live in the castle here, it was almost like a large and luxurious hotel and the main living quarters was like a lobby.
The man looked to be in his fifties but his body looked vigorous like it had been through years of countless wars. You could clearly see his developed body under his clothes. The man also seemed to be about 6'4 ft and had a large scar going across his face. The scar covered the top of his forehead all the way down to his cheek, going over his left eye.
He was absolutely menacing looking and gave an intimidating first expression. Qin however walked up to him without a care in the world. As he got closer, the atmosphere around him felt slightly heavier and the air he breathed felt thicker, almost as if gravity itself was trying to push him down even more.
'What an aura! This man is not to be messed up, I'll make this quick.' Qin thought to himself as he got closer to the man.
"Hey, old man! Where can I learn magic cultivation techniques around here?" Qin said as he got within talking distance of the man.
The scarred man turned his head to face who was talking to him. "Huh?" He said as he saw a little kid calling talking to him. But then, the man noticed something about the boy. 'This boy... why is his magic potential invisible?' The man thought to himself.
Normally the man wouldn't even bat an eye to random civilians, but this little child's hidden magic potential caught his attention a little bit. "It's Ragnar." The man said in a low and calm voice.
Qin waited for the man's answer to his original question. "Magic cultivation huh? Why should I help you?" Ragnar said in the same calm tone.
"Because I asked." Qin said, looking into the eyes of the man with a completely serious face. The man was slightly taken aback.
"Oho? Is that so? Very well then, I shall answer your question." Ragnar said as he looked back out to the balcony.
"Magic cultivation techniques are quite rare but are found commonly within a guild. Of course, you have to pass the entrance exams in order to be a part of the guild." Ragnar looked back at Qin.
"Other than that, there is a large black market inside of this kingdom. They are also quite common and the one in this kingdom is renowned for its popularity. Go there and you will be able to purchase one. If you get lucky, it might even be a hidden magic cultivation technique." Ragnar finished talking.
This was new information to Qin. "Really? Thank you, good sir! Now I'll be on my way." He said before turning around to walk away from Ragnar. "Wait." A voice came from behind him. It was of course, Ragnar.
"What is your magic potential?" Ragnar said.
Qin hadn't heard this in a long time, it brought back unwanted memories of a disliked person. Qin turned around and answered. "It's white." He said.
'White? Is this kid trying to fool me? I can clearly see that his magic cultivation is already higher than normal.' Ragnar thought to himself.
