"Player Notice. Welcome to the game world. For your information. Player notices are for you only. From now on system notices will be divided between local, region, continent and world. Good Luck!"
With that small segment of information, Rukku stopped cursing to himself about the sudden information and slowly looked around. He did not know much but going from the mountains that were on both of his sides, he appeared to be within some kind of valley, though it was not a big valley at that.
Ignoring the rocky, snow-capped mountains for now. One side of the valley had what looked like a flat grassy plain, while on the other side there was a river and in the distance, he could see what looked like a small forested region. That was aside for, the grassy plains that separated it all out.
"Well, it is as good as it gets I guess. Though this does seem like a good starting point. I was given a low ranking, I wonder why the position of this area is so good or seems to be so good. Maybe I will be lacking mineral resources or something." Musing to himself aloud, his thoughts seemed to be able to flow a bit easier.
After looking around for a few more seconds, Rukku looked down at himself. He still had those basic cotton clothes on, that he wore from the bloodline test. Though he did have the sabre still at least. It should be a decent starting weapon looking at it.
Then he slowly began to scratch his head while looking, as he did, he suddenly found that there was something on his neck!
"Ahhh, what the hell!" Suddenly both of his hands went to his neck. In surprise, then at his confusion at how it had even gotten there, he had found that he now had some kind of tattoo. The tattoo in question was what is known as a mark. Anyone who has a bloodline will have such a mark, showcasing to the world that they were different. His mark was black and showed a black dragon roaring towards the sky or well his head. It was imposing, especially the crown of stars that were around the dragon's head, this showing the bloodline's rank.
Then after the brief moment of curiosity ended. He held out the dull-looking bronze token in front of him. It looked a lot like a stake, with a medal attached to the top of the stake, all being in a dull bronze colour of course.
He looked at it for a small moment before remembering the last words of the little system.
In the end, using his own sabre. He made a small cut on his hands and let his blood run onto the token. The token in response lit up, black and dark red lights suddenly began to emit from it. Even a dragon roar could faintly be heard.
"Player Notice. Bronze Token upgraded into, Abyssal Legacy Token of the bronze grade."
As the system finished its words, Rukku looked down at the now different token. It was fully black in colour, with dark red writing covering the circular half. In a way, it looked demonic but then as he thought about it, the bloodline he had sounded demonic in a way.
Had he just become some sort of demon? The thought soon left his mind, just as it had appeared.
Then quickly he got to work. Using his hands, he quickly made a small hole in the ground. Placing the token inside, he quickly then buried it after.
A few seconds passed with nothing happening….
Then just as he had given up hope.
"ROAR!" A loud dragon roar shook the mountains around him, causing a few loose pebbles to tumble down. The origin of the roar?
The token he had just buried. Rukku had as one would expect, jumped back in fright.
His mind was reeling about the shock and his never-ending bad luck.
Then out of the ground a black monument slowly grew out of the ground. The monument was covered in red writing of a clear as he looked at it, unknown language. Though for some reason Rukku could read it. It was mainly some boring stuff about, rising from the abyss to claim their birthright.
To Rukku it was a load of boring notice, though in truth it was not. It was the origin and arrival of the abyssal dragon clan from the abyss to the world. Their history of fighting demons, to establishing a kingdom. Rukku had just inherited their dreams and hopes. A kingdom for a people who wanted above all… safety.
Then after a few more dragon roars echoed around, the monument went back into the ground. Then around it, a building began to take form. The entire process was weird and yet fascinating. Rukku was amazed at the process, in the end, he had what looked like a small building, with a couple of rooms.
Rukku seeing this sighed inwardly. So much for his free palace.
"Player Notice. Ruler system unlocked."
"Ruler Notice. The system screen is now available. To active please say, Ruler system."
Hearing all of the notifications pinging off in his ear, Rukku then mumbled. "Ruler system."
In front of his eyes, a screen appeared.
*Ruler: Rukku
Capital: Unnamed (Village Tier One)
Race: Bloodline Human
Level up your capital for more information!
To level up, you need a blacksmith and his smithy. A source of wood from a lumberjack and carpenter. A population of 500 people and enough food to support them all.*
The screen was so basic it could hardly be called a system. It just showed what he knew, though the lack of name surprised. Well, it did make sense that he could name his own land.
Though what name should he use? Sitting down on the grass Rukku slowly thought about a name. Then it hit him. Why not use something draconic. Though he did not speak….
Then suddenly a weird word entered into his mind. Lleisgarir. It was in the dragon tongue and it simply met Rising. Though how he knew it, he did not know.
"Ruler system, name the city Lleisgarir." His words were quiet, yet Rukku could not hide his happiness from anyone. This place would be amazing at least, once he was done making it.
It did not even have any people after all!
"Ruler Notice. Capital named Lleisgarir. Legacy token fully activated with dragon tongue named capital. Spawning initial population….now."
As if an answer to his worries a group of thirty people soon appeared right before him. They were a mix of men and women of all ages. Though there were no children at least not here. The moment they all saw him, Rukku felt something weird. Like it was some kind of power?
The people in front of him though felt it too, everyone single one of them fell to their knees and all of them yelled out. "We commoners greet the Imperial Son." Their words were loud and caused Rukku to shake a little.
These were people! Or well computer programs. But still people!
He had not spoken to anyone properly for so long…and he was their ruler? He went quiet for a few minutes while he tried to work out what it was that he should say.
"You may rise."…The people all then slowly got to their feet. Rukku really just did not know what he should do, looking at them in silence this only served to make them all extremely nervrious. They all thought that he was not happy with them!
Now it was finally dawned on Rukku. He had no idea how to rule or build a city at all! Kind of a serious problem to say the least. And going by the system, he would not be getting any help from it in this situation as well. At least not yet.
His mind was going from point to point, trying to come up with something. That was until an old man walked forwards to him.
"My lord, this humble one's name is Ber. I am the leader among us common blood. It would be my honour to help and guide you till you gain your feet." Rukku was delighted inside. The game had given him a helper! Just a hidden one at that. On the outside, though Rukku tried to remain calm, which was easier than he thought.
"Ok then Ber, I am Rukku. I would gladly take you up on your offer."
