Looking at the bloody ground, as well as the well now deceased people. Rukku suddenly slumped to the ground. Looking at them, he felt… Well, he felt sad and upset. Yes, this was a game. A game with now that he actually thought about it, weird rules.
Looking at them as well as thinking about the rules. Rukku suddenly got scared, what if this was like those famous Anime shows that he had heard about before, where if you died in-game, you would be dead for real!
But then, calming down a little, he thought that, that would be stupid. Why would anyone even make a game like that in the first place? Though his decisions until now had been fairly dumb. He should have just been an adventurer, it would have been easier, far easier. For one in the other mode, he probably would have been able to make money easier and quicker.
SIghing to himself, he went to put his hands on his face, before suddenly stopping. Both of his hands were covered in crimson blood. This just made his heart twist even more. Slowly as he stood there, tears began to roll down his face.
This game world was just too realistic. He needed to drink and eat, though food and water they were getting as a group but when would it stop? This had not except for a few moments been fun. The people were too real and he had unknowingly developed bonds with the few he talked to. His maids and Ber, the other people all were nice too though.
Slowly he leaned back against the valley wall. Looking around everything seemed to be peaceful like nothing had happened at all. Yet, in front of him were five dead bodies.
"I wonder what is going on in the real world? I wonder how the game company is explaining us being in here for so long. Well if is it that bad that I am stuck here?" Talking aloud to himself, he asked himself that question again. That one question he had been asking over and over again.
He had yet to find an answer.
Then suddenly, he heard the rapid sound of footsteps coming up from behind him. Going straight onto alert thinking that it was another adventure. He grabbed his sabre and wheeled around, ready to strike immediately once he had confirmed the exact distance to the attacker.
Though he froze. It was Ber! For some reason, Rukku suddenly felt a vast amount of rage build-up at this sight…
"WHY THE HELL ARE YOU HERE!?" His loud bellowing voice shook the entire valley as well as causing Ber to stumble back in shock. Rukku though only got angrier as right behind Ber the entire population of the village appeared.
Rukku at this point was beyond mad. They had disobeyed him and come here! Did they want to die?
"Correct that…WHY THE HELL IS EVERYONE HERE!?" His voice once again shook the valley and caused everyone to suddenly look fearful, though it was Ber who looked straight back at Rukku and spoke.
"We are here to help you Lord! We do not want you to fight alone! We are one! We fight and die together! We will not let you die so we can live! Without you, the Imperial Scion of the new line. It is pointless! You are the hope of us all!" Ber suddenly began to yell back, he was not angry though, listening to his words Rukku could not help but feel guilty. Looking down at the floor he did not reply. He did not know what to say, to well apologise really.
"Lord, you do not have to reply to this, but remember it." This time Ber was speaking normally, and kindly.
Rukku then looked up ad just nodded his head. "We do need to talk though before they died. They said some worrying stuff, mainly. We are near a-"
Suddenly Rukku went silent.
"Worldwide System Notice. Players! You all must have understood important parts of the world by now. You can starve. You will suffer in this world yet you can also gain unparalleled wealth and power. It is all to play for! We the creators of this game, the Ancient's want to see a great show! The people of Earth all want the same thing as well, so fight hard and prosper! Aside from that, the Ruler players are suffering with a tenth of them already being killed and losing their rulership. So we will now give them a boon. An extra one hundred people, as well as a resource starting pack, will get you going! Good Luck! Now let the game begin!" Then the system went silent, though the young voice of the man, did not seem to be a system but rather a real and living person.
Rukku was stunned at the small number of facts that had just been given to him, the information was useful and it seemed life had been bad for the rulers and once again Rukku was doubting his choice on the path that he had chosen for himself.
"Lord? Lord? Lord?" Then suddenly Rukku could hear Ber, it seemed like he had zoned out while the system was speaking and now, Ber seemed to be worried for some reason. Well, the system could not be heard by them it seemed.
Looking around while gesturing he was fine. Rukku ended up looking at the bodies on the ground. "Ber, get the armour and weapons, as well as any other valuables from these bodies then burn them. Also, we have new people about to arrive at the settlement. I want to be ready, we need a plan. Then we have to talk."
Ber just nodded his head, with that worried frown on his face again. Quickly, he organised the people and did as he was asked. Meanwhile, Rukku was just walking back slowly. He had found a small spring and was able to clean the blood off of himself mostly and clean his weapon up. Though his mind was still reeling, being so near to the main city was going to be bad and it would not be long before more and more adventures began to arrive. Not to mention what if the city itself decided to remove him?
With all of these thoughts in mind, he soon reached back to his house. The scene in front of him was well amazing. For one, Ber had somehow overtook him and had organised these new people already. Though as he looked at them all, he was still amazed. Such a large group of people were all under him and just him. It was a weird feeling, then as he slowly walked forwards.
People began to notice and all began to get onto one knee and every single one of them bowed down as he walked by. The feeling for Rukku was one of amazement and also satisfaction, this was just amazing and well he would not stop them doing this too, like in other stories he heard about.
Then he reached the entrance to his house. Slowly he turned around and looked at them all.
"I am Rukku. Welcome to your new home… The man beside me is Ber. He is my right-hand man as well as the vice leader of the settlement. All of us together will build a future of wealth and strength for our bloodline! We will rise again and I promise you. We will not fall!" Smiling and happy with the mini-speech, he then went inside. He just hoped that Ber had got the part for him as well.
