SAMANTHA:
"Knock. Knock."
Liam rapped on the door and stepped inside. He carried a small tray with a bowl, a cup, and a few slices of bread.
Even though Samantha felt elated to have food, she watched Liam wearily as he set the tray on the nightstand.
"Your food has been served." He gave a playful bow and lifted his head with a wink.
Samantha watched as he took a few steps back towards the chair and sat down, crossing his right leg over his left. He was oddly graceful, for someone who had towering physic and a muscular body. He'd be right up Rachel's alley; tall, hot, and non-committal.
Samantha sighed. "Aren't you going to leave?"
"Aren't you going to eat?"
Samantha contemplated arguing, but since he took the time to get it for her, she ought to show him she was grateful. She picked the bowl up and gently blew on the soup, but it didn't need it. The walk from the kitchen to her room cooled it down to just the right temperature.
