Alester led Phiona's father up to the most private spot he could think of, the waiting room before his father's office.
Once there he sat down and waited for Phiona's father to speak.
"I know you are a reasonable boy, which is one of the reasons why I was extremely grateful that my Phiona was going to be mated to you, someone who had my full admiration and consent. However, after our last interaction, it appears we may need to have a chat. Phiona is extremely precious to me, and I believe she should have the best, including a loving mate. Now I know you two have had your squabbles in the past, but you're her mate now, and that won't change. It's time you put those disagreements to rest and be a proper mate to my daughter."
