Maeve was the last and only solution that Blair could think of to save Lucien.
However, Lucien was too stubborn to accept the idea. He would rather die than ask Maev for help. His ego was obviously much higher than his love for life.
That had become Blair's obstacle, she wanted Lucien alive, yet all he did was refuse to fight for his life. She suddenly felt hurt by that thought.
Back in her room, Blair was staring at the frangipani tree outside the window. She brought back the memory of the bathroom where she saw Lucien looking so scared and worried that something had happened to her.
Blair may have seen Lucien's care the moment he saved her from Dante, but that moment in the bathroom was one of the best memories for her. The way she saw Lucien now was someone so different from the grapevine she had heard before.
