Blair slowly wrapped her arms around Lucien's shoulder as he was ready to take off. He was still wincing and uncomfortable with the pain he felt on his wound. However, he had to fly to get to Maev quickly.
They took off out of the window again. At first, it was fine, but then Lucien suddenly grunted in pain and this time, it was louder than he used to.
Blair could feel his discomforts.
“His wounds might hurt a lot,” Blair thought, and it made her worried. However, she trusted that Lucien could get through the flying until they reached Maeve’s place. She could feel his determination to reach there.
However, she was also aware of the difference in speed, and they flew lower than they used to.
“Lucien, are you okay?” Blair couldn’t take it anymore. As much as she could trust Lucien with her life, she also had to know when Lucien needed her the most.
