Chapter 23 – The Wayward Human
The giant creature stared at them relentlessly unleashed monsters to attack, and there were still many outside below.
Trying to dissuade him from acting so intensely inward, his peers showed their full potential and displayed strength as Mana Control.
Van uses no weapons, slams his hands together to shoot fireballs while standing on his beloved dragon, and is as big as an elephant. They were facing now. More extensive than the one he was riding, his aim was not much different from his father's ability to aim at the target that was about to be destroyed.
The Saintess tried to tie their up using a whip rope that had Mana flowing through the neck but often failed due to the monsters' attacks.
Jase wanted to pave the way for his father to come forward. He helped attack the giant beasts writhing in the form with his bare hands through the mouth of the big snake, which was opening its mouth very wide.
[Ssshhhh…] a long hiss made my hair goosebumps.
The Mana-flowing hand formed a longsword, accelerating Jase's speed of dashing right through to the monster's tail. Ronan helped him also attack, protecting the back with a spear.
The agile movements are also flexible, as if dancing with sharp weapons, not looking to finish them off. One swing of the spear's tip was enough to split a giant lizard.
[Sraaaat…Craat]
Dareen and Duke Leon, helping their comrades from afar, cast magic circles in their hands surrounded by magical spells.
Each size has a difference and rotates in opposite directions. Each one emits a light blue fireball while the child emits a fiery red one.
Duke Leon looked over there, noticing a sizeable fireball shooting out at this moment.
"How did he learn that magic?" he asked himself.
Dareen was busy shooting at Hale, a little overwhelmed by the few tiny monsters that had started swarming around his focusing the magic circle right on target on their bodies.
[Bang…Psyu…Doom]
Surprised by the fireball that flashed across his temples, his eyes widened when he saw the golden-haired youth helping him, only almost to hit him too.
Seeing Hale surrounded by monsters, he smiled from afar, out of breath.
Not entirely satisfied with using one hand, Dareen took out the other hand and took out another magic circle that was fired the same as his father's.
His gaze now shifted after the Mana knight's successor managed to offset the attack, now finding the Saintess aiming for the neck of the creature made of black smoke.
"Saintess, do you have a plan?" asked Duke Leon, busy taking care of the back of the dragon.
The source of the monsters came out from there; it looked like an empty mist. However, there was a current black swirling like a portal. Several times fired fireballs to stop it and, in vain, could only kill the monsters that were about to get out of there.
His attacks penetrating the inside had no effect, hoping to minimise their escape.
"I want to tie his neck; they (his ancestors) can always control when they can control their body parts, especially that part." answered the Saintess clearly, pointing out the place in question.
The people below watched their fight, hoping that the monsters would be killed soon. Flashes of colourful light illuminate the dark sky accompanied by thunder.
The Mana Controllers and their flying descendants counterattacked; they did everything they could to protect the people of Rhodes.
"Fast! Fast! Don't look up; save your own lives!" shouted the chief commander.
Under Duke Leon's guidance, the magicians healed the injured citizens and created another layer of protection to make them stronger.
The priests were busy praying for salvation. Fear, hug each other loved ones and strengthen that everything is fine. King Benedict gave orders to hasten the evacuation so that Duke Leon would immediately lock their hideout.
"You all heard? What is the Saintess after," Duke Stuart spoke?
"Divert those who are blocking them away from the dragon, help the Saintess move more freely." Duke Stuart's orders.
The Mana Controllers moved to lure them in the direction of the direction, scattering in the direction of the cardinal points.
"Kids protect the Saintess so that the rope of the whip can lead there!" he shouted again in a loud voice.
Their descendants approached the Saintess to protect him from all sides. Dareen enlarged the scale of the magic circle in both hands to shoot three fireballs at a time.
Duke Leon was worried that what his son was doing had crossed the line; however, on his face, he didn't look the least bit like someone who deserved to be pitied.
Dareen led the line at the front to protect Ronan, who was running to attack in front. Van and Hale covered the Saintess from the side.
Jase shielded his father on the back, watching Duke Erica busily destroy the obstacles that hindered his footsteps, occasionally missing his Mana throw.
The monster he attacked then dodged it and hit the dragon smoke creating a gap that didn't return, unlike his father did every time it rejoined. Seeing this, Dareen realised that Mana was trapped in hard rocks when the old grandfather attacked his weakness.
Approaching her leaving the defence to protect the Saintess, all of his comrades turned their heads and lost concentration as Dareen disappeared from their sight, the attack going on blindly.
"What are you doing?" asked Duke Erica, was scolding him.
"We have to make up for it; there's no more time to explain." replied, who was still shooting fireballs at the part closest to Ronan.
He saw the person pulled by his hand did not understand what he meant, forcing Dareen to scream.
"See!" while aiming at the Mana rock, hitting the side of the smoke.
Duke Erica saw the gap that didn't close again and finally understood; they ran towards the Saintess, making his place empty so that one of the giant snake-shaped monsters bit the magic barrier.
Cracks were about to break; people turned their gazes there; Duke Owen immediately shot at the snake.
[Psyu…] smoke evaporates from the weapon's muzzle used from afar.
The damage is quite extensive, tempting other monsters to approach. Duke Leon's body was hot from the protective magic starting to crack.
"Leon, hang on!" shouted Duke Stuart from afar while looking at the People who were about to be evacuated a little more.
Jase filled the vacant position left by Duke Erica with Dareen, positioning himself on a par with Saintess.
He was giving directions to him to the partner who whipped the whip.
The older man seemed confused by the plan in question. Luckily the man next to him pointed a sizeable hard rock filled with Mana at the dragon's head there.
[Graaaughh] The giant creature roared in pain; however, all that came out was a very loud gust of wind without a sound as if it was screaming.
The faced with such a shock greeted by a typhoon in front tried to stand up straight so as not to be pushed backwards.
[Wuuush..]
"Ugh…"
[Cletak, prang] The magic shield finally broke into a hole, Rhodes people who had not had time to save themselves panicked, scrambled in, Jase ran to cover and slashed the monsters that would enter through the gap right under his feet.
The magicians who had already made seals, on the other hand, switched to repairing Duke Leon's seal, even though they had a very different comparison with magic Mana seals but still tried to cover up the entry of beasts.
"Hey, over there!"
Jase had a hard time protecting the hole even though he was proficient in controlling Mana Spirits using ranged attacks; this was because he had not yet become a Mana sealer, so his strength was limited.
"Damn it! Useless bastard!" he screamed.
Unbeknownst to him, a tiny monster managed to creep under his feet; after successfully advancing, now he was aiming for Moore's magic tower, which was right nearby.
The monster plunged quickly and shot, attacking one of the residents who saved themselves.
"Help me!" someone shouted, running around to dodge his attack.
Luckily he stumbled and stumbled into saving his life, escaping to be eaten, feeling that he had failed to catch his targeted prey; he turned to a group of people running aimlessly to save themselves.
"Kyaa! Help us!"
