Last night was a wild, wild night. It's a good thing that today is Sunday, and there's no work in the Dragon Sage Library. It was already ten in the morning when I was woken up for breakfast.
Contrary to our normal practice in the mornings, it was not Yehanna but Sebastian who woke me up. He knocked on the door three times, and I was already awake at the third knock.
"Good morning, Lord Ulysses. Breakfast is ready. The ladies are already in the dining room."
I yawned out loud and stretched my arms. "Okay. I'll be there."
I sluggishly raised my body from my magnetizing bed. My saliva still tastes like booze, and I do have a slight headache. Since it's my day off, I won't bother making myself handsome since I'm lazy. I just let my bed hair stand like multiple antennas.
I finally managed to get to the old grand dining room. Normally, the long wooden antique table looks abandoned. But now that Odette and Marina are occupying some seats, it has now become livelier.
The pink-haired divine priestess is jollily talking with Yehanna's blind brother Yifus, while Marina is just there watching and listening to them talk.
I saw Yehanna serving a bacon and egg omelet from the kitchen. She smiled when she saw me.
"Oh, good morning handsome dancer." Yehanna greeted.
"Good morning." I sat on my designated seat. "Wait, handsome dancer?"
"Oh! Good morning, handsome dancer!" Odette and Marina greeted. They are so synchronized that I think they are ganging up and decided to bully me.
"I know I'm handsome, but who's the handsome dancer?" I tilted my head in confusion.
"It's you!" My three Dragonoid Contractors answered in sync.
"Huh?"
"You don't remember what happened last night, do you?" Marina leaned her chin on her hand with an irritating smirk on her face.
"You're quite wild last night, Lord Corasell!" Odette chuckled with elegance.
"I'm not the wild one! You three are the wild ones!" I shouted out. "Last night, Odette is bathing with nacho cheese, Marina is stripping like those macho dancers, and don't get me started with you, Hanna! You're the drunkest of them all!"
"So, you don't remember what you did last night?" Yehanna's face is the very definition of smug.
"That's quite logical. You drank twice as fast as we three combined." Marina said.
"I have forever changed the way I see you, Lord Corasell!" Odette pumped her fists and smiled.
"I don't know what you're talking about!" I cried. "You guys are just here to bully me this early in the morning, creating events that didn't happen!"
"What happened last night, Sis?" Yifus finally joined the conversation.
"Last night, we saw the real Ulysses Corasell. When he got drunk, he stripped his clothes until he was only in his boxers and went onto the stage. He danced in the pole with the macho dancers in an awkward manner, making him the laughingstock of the club last night!"
"Really?" Yifus laughed.
"That didn't happen!" I slammed the table as I cried.
"That did happen!" Odette and Marina hollered back.
"Why can't I remember it then?"
"Because you're too drunk~" Yehanna replied. "All of it happened a few hours before we three got drunk ourselves."
"Yeah, that's right!" Odette raised her voice, ready to defend the damn vixen. "We had a hard time calming you down, so I used my sobering spell to heal your alcohol intoxication!"
"Maybe that sobering spell also deleted your embarrassing memories," Marina said.
I just sat back in my seat, fully defeated and embarrassed. I do have a faint memory of dancing on the strip club stage, so I thought it was my dream last night. I never knew it was real.
"Shit," I muttered to myself.
"Don't worry, nobody knew your name except the three of us~" Yehanna said.
"Your reputation as a Dragon Sage is still safe, Lord Corasell! You can trust us to keep that secret to our grave!" Odette tried to cheer me up.
"Shut up, you two." I covered my face. "I'll never drink with you girls ever again!"
"What? We love your performance back there! What a killjoy~" Marina teased.
I know I'll just get defeated if I continue conversing with them on that topic. I'll just ignore these three for now and focus on the delicious breakfast.
I just a bit, chewed and swallowed the food while the three girls and Yifus talked about what happened last night. They told stories to the innocent blind boy about how I danced without shame with the macho dancers and how most girls are entertained by watching me do some circus.
I avoided gazing against any of them, especially Yehanna. She's the teasing queen out of all my dragon partners, and I'm vulnerable to her advances. She has seen all my shameful side, even those things I'm not aware of. I needed to ignore her for the rest of the day.
We were at the end of our breakfast when Sebastian entered the dining room.
"My lady, there is a visitor at the front gate." Sebastian bowed.
"A visitor? That's weird. We've never had a surprise visitor ever since I took over the Lancelot Manor." Yehanna touched her chin. "Who is it?"
Sebastian did not answer. He just presented a touch screen tablet and opened the surveillance app that controls the camera at the gate of the Lancelot Manor.
The moment Yehanna saw the person, her eyes widened in shock. She went pale like snow, and sweat started to crawl at the sides of her face.
"That's…" Yehanna couldn't mutter any word.
I'm beside Yehanna, so I can see the person on the tablet. It's a tall middle-aged man with spiky white hair. Most of his body is covered with black robes, and he also has a golden mask that covers the upper portion of his face. His eyes are crimson red with black scleras. Behind his robe is a black uniform with a badge that is all familiar to me.
This person is a Dragon Sage. And not just a normal Dragon Sage. He is a twelve-star sage, the highest rank in the Library.
"Rex Nullius," I muttered.
"You know him?" Yehanna asked.
"Yeah, he's one of the three Twelve-Star Dragon Sage of the Library. I only saw him once, during the Dragon Sage Entrance Exam."
"I never knew that he would go to our doorstep." Yehanna forced a smile, but she was still trembling with fear. "That thieving bastard who made Yifus' life miserable."
"You know him?" I asked.
"No. But those eyes he's wearing… It's my brother's. And he's a Dragon Sage. Those are the only clues I got about the person who stole my brother's eyes and lower spine."
I finally realized what Yehanna is implying.
"So that means he-"
"Yes." Yehanna is now shaking with hatred. "He is Null."
