Chapter 47 - CHAPTER 47

I've never been angry in my entire life.

I just saw one of my Dragonoid Contractors die right in front of my eyes in the most brutal way possible. Poor Odette, she was not even a combatant, to begin with. She's never hurt anyone, not even a fly. All her spells are for healing and protection, and now she suffers a fate like this.

"You won't get away with this!" I roared out loud as I channeled lightning sparks all over my body. "With the power of lightning, Overclock my whole body tenfold!"

A lightning blast roared inside the Lancelot Manor. All the windows have been shattered, and the stairway became a huge crater. My skin, my flesh, and my bones hurt so much that I could die. It felt like every cell in my body is being bitten by trillions of ants.

"Ulysses!" Marina cried.

I ignored her. My eyesight, my hearing, and my other senses are focused on that bastard who killed Odette. Rex Nullius. That fucker is just having a smug on his face as if he's making fun of me!

"Mjmulnur!" I jumped forward, focusing my energy on my punch. Electricity gathered on my knuckles that formed into an astral dragon head!

It was a solid hit! I felt the impact of the punch. I heard his neck crack due to the powerful blow, and Rex Nullius' body flew and went through the walls of the manor. A lightning bolt followed my punch creating a powerful laser explosion!

"Gah, hah…" I exhaled steam from my mouth. I can only overclock my strength and agility for a maximum of three seconds, so I have to do a deadly blow for that short amount of time.

All of a sudden, I felt a jolt inside my brain! Static dominated my eyesight and hearing, and in an instant, the painful sensation is gone.

The next thing I know is that Rex Nullius is right in front of me, still standing tall.

"Huh!?"

"You bastard, you killed me!" Rex Nullius laughed as he touched his left cheek. "That's the most painful but swift death I've had so far."

"Damn you!" I roared as I readied myself for another punch! Lightning coated my fists, but it was not as powerful and as fast as before. My body is still recovering from overclocking.

One, two, three lightning punches never landed. Rex Nullius just playfully evaded my attacks, and he's not even serious about it. While stepping back, the enemy materialized another silver sword from his hand.

"You need to settle down a little bit." Rex Nullius mocked.

"Fuck you!" I cried as I unleashed my fourth punch. It was evaded, and then the masked Dragon Sage made his counterattack!

There was a swift thrusting sound. Blood splattered on the ground. I felt strength leaving my body as I realized that the silver sword has already penetrated my stomach!

"A-Ah." I stepped back and my butt fell on the floor. Red liquid started to ooze from my mouth, and I'm having difficulty breathing. I felt like glass shards are inside my lungs.

"There. Sit down a little bit. And let's talk." Rex Nullius smiled.

"Die!"

A woman's shout echoed. It was Marina, and she was right behind the enemy Dragon Sage. With her two flaming swords, she performed a crosscut to behead the enemy!

The masked man's head rolled on the ground with blood painting the floor. His crimson eyes with black sclera stared at me, and then his irises glowed.

There was another jolt of headache and a brief static.

And Rex Nullius is back to being alive and fully well again!

"Do me a favor and stay dead!" Marina roared once again as she stabbed her two flaming swords into the chest of the omnipotent Dragon Sage.

However, Rex Nullius appeared to be unhurt. He frowned and now he looked angry.

"You pests should know your place by now. I no longer have time to play with little girls like you."

"How dare you-"

Just before Marina could finish her sentence, eight silver swords stabbed her back. Rex Nullius must have used a spell to remotely materialize and control those swords that just appeared out of nowhere!

"Marina!" I cried out loud. I tried to get up, but the pain is overwhelming my body! I think the sword hit a nerve in my spine that prevents me from standing up!

"U…Ulysses." Marina cried blood.

Not satisfied, Rex Nullius materialized another one of his silver swords again and stabbed the poor lady in her chest, causing her to fall to the ground lifeless.

"No!" I cried. "First, it was Sebastian. Then it was Odette. Finally, it's Marina! How many more people are you going to kill!?"

"You lots started the killings in the first place. I have died more times than those three idiots combined!" Rex Nullius smirked.

"Fuck you! I'm going to kill you!" I tried to struggle, but strength is leaving my body. I noticed that I'm already bathing in my puddle of blood.

Rex Nullius started to approach me, but then he was halted by a shout.

"Rex!"

We both looked downstairs and saw the angel of death. Her long dark blue hair which was stained with blood swayed with the air. Her blue battle kimono has been torn in random parts, and she also suffered some grazes. She's heavily gasping for air.

"Hanna!" I cried.

I noticed that Yehanna is carrying her katana in her right hand, and a severed head of a black-haired woman in her left hand. Having the head of the enemy Dragonoid as a trophy is good evidence that Yehanna won the fight against that tentacle witch. I have never been so happy to see a horrifying sight.

Rex Nullius' dismay is evident on his face. "It's a shame that Rafaelsa was defeated by an A-tier Dragonoid even though she's S-tier herself. But she'll regenerate shortly, so that's okay."

"I do not have any business with this perverted vixen!" Hanna mercilessly threw out the severed head outside the window. Then she pointed her katana toward the enemy Dragon Sage. "My business is with you! I will kill you as many times as I want!"

"Oh?"

Rex Nullius wanted to say another word, but he was interrupted when Yehanna immediately closed in the distance in almost an instant. With her katana, she sliced the enemy's throat clean. Then she grabbed me and carried me downstairs!

"Hold on!" Yehanna shouted as we immediately jumped out of the window and rolled on the garden floor.

I looked up and saw the gargantuan Lancelot Manor right in front of my eyes. We managed to escape from that place, but I just felt another static right now. Rex Nullius has negated reality once again.

"Hanna." I weakly muttered as I touched her chest.

A magical circle glowed on her heart and then her appearance transformed. Her hair became silver blue, her whole body was enveloped in a black skin-tight bodysuit, her clothes transformed into a white fairy dress, and horns started to grow from her head. Ten swords spread out from her back.

"Deva Transformation?" Yehanna asked.

"That's all of my mana left. I believe in you, Hanna." I said.

Yehanna, or more properly, Deva, nodded. She gently laid me down on a nearby rock.

And then her cold crimson eyes with golden pupils glowed upon seeing the enemy at the mansion.
