Tyler's POV
I woke up the next morning in a new environment and it took a while for me to realize that I slept in the guest room since Rose's taking my bed. Despite the fact that I've gone bed late last night, I slept pretty well.
After I was awake, I followed my usual routine of showering, going down to eat the delicious breakfast famous chefs prepare every day. No matter how much I eat them, I can never get tired of the food they make.
"She might need a bath after she wakes up so, please help her with that. I will be with my parents to discuss some stuff so I will leave things to your hands." I told Marthana as I changed to get ready to meet my parents.
"Yes, your highness." She bowed.
"Thank you." I walked out of the room and made my way to my parent's room. I hoped that I won't walk into an awkward scene because the memory of how embarrassing it had been the last time, I walked in to witness them in 18+ situation which has been engraved in my head since then.
I knocked on the door and heard the words of approval and I entered inside to see my mom and dad sitting up straight on their beds, looking at me.
"Good morning dad. Good morning mom." "Good morning son." Both of them greeted me and I sat on the nearby sofa.
"How have you been? How's school?" mom asked and I shrugged. "The usual. Just hanging out with new friends I've met in Winters Uni and doing boring school work. My graduation was yesterday but I didn't notify you guys because I thought it was unnecessary. How are you guys doing?"
"I am doing great." "Pretty good, sweetheart." "What brings you here, hon?" My mom asked as she shifted and leaned her back to the headboard.
"I wanted to discuss something with you. This case is something I've never heard of and I honestly have no idea how to deal with it." I said with a subtle frown on my face.
"Oh? What is it?" Dad asked with curiosity and I've explained them the whole thing that happened yesterday. I tried my best to make them understand by making sure that I didn't miss any details but it looked like they didn't know what was going on either, just from their confused expression.
"That's really weird. I've never heard of a case as such." my dad started to rub the stubble on his face and my mom was deep in thought too.
"I guess we will have to meet your best friend and ask her some questions." My mom and dad got off the bed and I stood up from my place too.
"That would be useless because as I've mentioned she didn't even know about our kind, let alone about her true identity. Maybe we can summon her parents and ask them some questions." I suggested and they nodded their heads in agreement.
"That's actually a great idea. Who are her parents?" My dad asked and I just stood infront of them, shaking my head.
"No worries. Now, let's meet this friend of yours, shall we?" Mom spoke behind me and we walked out of the room and headed towards mine.
I opened the door to be greeted by a woman with glistening chocolate hair cascading down to her waist and standing infront of the window, admiring the beauty outside. She didn't even hear us walk in so I walked towards her in slow yet steady steps.
I jumped twenty feet back when Rose turned and yelled at me when I tapped her shoulder.
"Didn't you promise me that you won't scare me like this?!" She was clutching her chest as she stared at me with wide eyes and took a deep breath.
I raised my hands in surrender and apologized. I honestly didn't mean to scare her like this but honestly, she scared the holy crap out of me. After both of us calmed down, we looked at each other and laughed it off.
"Rose, my parents wanted to have a few words with you. Is it ok?" I asked her as I pointed to where my parents were sitting.
"Sure, why not?" She smiled and walked towards them leaving me behind and I soon caught up with her. I was more than glad that she was so strong and could smile at situations like this. It takes so much for a person to smile when they aren't happy.
"Hello, I am Rosalind Taylor. Nice to meet you, Mr. and Mrs. Reinhart." She shook hands with my mom and dad who were slightly frozen on the spot.
"Call me Jade, honey." my mom shot her a bright smile and my dad acknowledged her with a smile and a nod. "Jack."
"You look just like your mom." my mom said as she stroked Rose's face and I stared at them with a frown.
"You know my mom?" Rose asked her, clearly surprised just as much as I was.
"Of course. Aurora and Victor Taylor, right?" Rose gasped when my dad mentioned the foreign names.
"You guys know my parents!" she exclaimed and my parents nodded their heads.
"But it's been a while since we've met them. Why don't you call them over so we can have a reunion after twenty years?" My dad asked and Rose looked at me. I just shrugged at her and she hesitantly nodded her head.
I let her use my phone when she asked for one.
"You will know it soon, son, but she just happened to be the daughter of someone very dear to us." my mom and dad smiled and my frown deepened.
For the first time in my life, I got to hear the names Victor and Aurora Taylor and the fact that my and Rose's parents have long been friends made me speechless.
