Rose's POV
So, would you like to know what's actually going on? How they know each other and why they are so happy to meet them? I can give you some spoilers.' Layla suddenly appeared and spoke with a little smirk and excitement in her voice.
'Sure, it would be better than not knowing anything. What the heck is going on?'
'Hm, I will say two things;
One, your dad and mom, Victor and Aurora were the former King and Queen of werewolves.
Two, you're the princess and future queen of werewolves.'
'Just stay quiet if you don't know anything. Stop messing with my emotions.'
Layla rolled her eyes and replied. 'Well, it's upto you whether to believe me or not but you better get prepared because whatever your parents and Tyler's parents are going to say is going to change your life.'
"Do you have any idea how much longer we have to wait?" I asked Tyler as he approached me with a small smile.
"Not a clue. We can wait inside if you want. After all, it was my parents who wanted to wait for them." He stood next to me and I walked closer to him, trying to seek some warmth from him.
"Hm, I am not sure." I hesitated because going inside and reading Wattpad sounded so tempting but getting answers from my parents was just as urgent and important.
"Come on. Let's get inside. It's cold outside and I am sure my parents will have no problem in welcoming them since they claim to know each other." Tyler grabbed my arm and I stood there, not knowing what to do. I can get very indecisive at times.
Who am I kidding? I always do.
"Fine." I gave in and followed Tyler as he led the way. I followed closely behind to not get lost in the dense forest.
"We will be waiting for them in the meeting room. They seem like they have met your parents and are on their way now, so we will have to wait for an hour or so." Tyler spoke as we entered the kingdom and I nodded my head.
Tyler led me to a giant mahogany door which had golden linings decorating it and a few men dressed in uniform guarding it. They opened it for us to enter and I stood at the entrance in a daze.
The so-called meeting room had brown leather chairs around a huge table which had necessary items for meetings. The way the room was decorated had me frozen on the spot at how beautiful and spectacular it looked.
Tyler walked inside and sat on one of the leather chairs and I roamed around, admiring the room after taking off the jacket as it was getting way too hot for my liking.
Two long brown tables were brought together which had bright lighting above the chairs that had lined throughout the room. I wasn't sure what the floor was made of because they were neither tyles nor marbles. Well, those are the only things I know when it comes to room decoration.
"Woah. I have a question." I stated, still in shock as I sat down opposite where Tyler was sitting. Tyler then raised his eyebrows allowing me to ask the question I was dreading to ask.
"I have a lot of questions I would like to ask first but first comes first. What do werewolves do for a living? How come you guys are so rich? How much taxes do you collect?" I questioned as I couldn't figure out where they would get the money to build all these rooms and live a luxurious life.
"You sure are an interesting girl. Are you sure that's the question you want to ask me after what has happened?" Tyler asked after chuckling and I just shrugged, waiting for him to explain.
"We don't do stuff like tax. Alot of companies and organizations are under the name of royal families and we earn most of our income from it." Tyler said as he took a sip from his cup of tea which was brought by Marthana. I nodded my head in understanding and asked him another question.
"Tyler, do you know who was the former king and queen before your parents?" I asked him out of curiosity after I remembered Layla telling me about my parents being the former king and queen. When I asked him the question, he stiffened a bit but relaxed a few seconds later that it was barely noticeable.
"It must be my grandfather and grandma, right? I mean after all; the throne is passed down from generation to generation. I will have to check the list to confirm it though." "Oh. Wait what? what do you mean?" I asked him, almost terrified, and he had a goofy smile on his face.
"Did I not mention that I am the crown prince of werewolves and my parents are King and Queen?" His voice got smaller as he spoke and his voice was barely heard at the last bit. I felt as if I was hit by lightning when he said that.
I abruptly stood up from my seat, ready to beat the hell out of Tyler for keeping such an important thing from me. So, for about ten minutes, we played hide and seek like immature kids we are till I was out of breath and wasn't in the mood to beat the shit out of him anymore.
I then stared down at the cup of tea infront of me and brought it to my mouth, taking the seat nearby and gulping down the whole cup of tea.
"They are here." Tyler brought me out of my daze as he stood up and walked towards the door which opened a few seconds later. And there they were! My parents and Tyler's parents were walking through the door as they were entangled with each other and talking about stuff that I couldn't understand.
As soon as my mom and dad's gaze fell on me, they froze on the spot and whatever they were talking about was long forgotten. I stared back at them too, letting them know that I was disappointed that they had kept me in the dark and I stared at them like they won't be forgiven unless they give me a reasonable explanation behind what they have done.
As Jack noticed the staring contest between me and my parents, he cleared his throat and helped them be seated in the seats where Tyler was sitting before. Tyler took his tea cup and sat beside me. I continued staring at them as Marthana brought another pair of cups of tea.
Jack and Jade sat beside my mom and dad. Four of them looked like they were about to be interviewed by the president of their country. They looked so stiff and I could clearly sense awkward silence in the room but no one ever pointed it out.
"Hon-" My dad spoke to break the silence but I held my hand up to shut him up which worked perfectly.
"Dad, I know that you're a terrible storyteller but this time around, please get to the point." I told him as the random memory of my dad, telling us how he got to fall in love with my mom for three damn hours during family dinner. Everyone smiled and relaxed their tense muscles and sunk into their seats.
"Well, I will try to put it in simple words but it's going to be long nonetheless." My dad took a deep breath and a sip of his tea before starting.
"Once upon a time-." I cut him off as I knew how this was going to end.
"Dad, the main point. Not the whole story. We can talk about details later, ok?" My mom and Jade giggled and tried to hide their smiles.
"Fine. Long story short, you're a werewolf and you're the princess of werewolves. You might have been the queen of werewolves by now if I and your mom didn't resign twenty years ago. You have the royal blood of werewolves running through your veins and we are the former king and queen of werewolves." dad said as he pulled my mom closer and hugged her from the side.
I am what now? Did I hear them wrong? They got to be kidding, right? Me, the queen of what?!
