'Fer, are you in the café?'
'No, Andi. Since I became pregnant, I have rarely stood by in the café. All being handled by Daffa. Why?'
'I want to tell you something. Can I call later? Ah, don't forget to tell your husband first.'
'Relax, Ndi.'
Andi's return did not change any circumstances between the two. Daffa gave full permission for his wife's friendship even though he knew that Andi had put his heart into his wife. The man believed that Andi's actions were just a mistake.
"You're ok if I'm still communicating with Andi?" Fera asked her husband.
"It's ok. We can't blame the feelings. After all, now he has behaved normally, right?"
"Yes, anyway."
"He's been your best friend, and I can't possibly limit your friendship. I'm sure he's positioning himself as a good friend, nothing more," Daffa said.
Yes, Daffa is indeed noble-hearted. But, Daffa still worried about one thing. Until now, his wife did not know about the mastermind of all the terror that happened to Fera. She even slowly forgot that it had happened. There are so many happy moments that came to her little family at this time.
"Can I trust you, Babe?" Fera asked doubtfully.
"What is it?"
"I think Andi is getting close with Siska."
"Huh? Are you sure?"
"Yes, why? You're angry?" asked Fera again. This time is careful.
"Angry? Why get angry? Instead, I'm happy. If Andi becomes the same Siska, I don't have to bother to find out about the guy who is the same as her. At least I can know Andi's true nature from you. You are his best friend," Daffa explained.
"Hmm, ok. But, please don't tell Siska that I told you. He told me not to tell anyone, including you, hahaha."
Kriing
"Ssshh. Don't make any noise, Babe. It's Andi calling. I'll try loudspeaker later," Fera told Daffa in a whisper.
Both of them try to be open in any matter so that the household relationship is more harmonious. Of course, Fera had to appreciate her husband because she had a guy best friend who might know more about her life than her husband.
"Hello, Fer. Am I bothering you?"
"No. What about it?"
"Hmmm, is Daffa work?"
Fera glanced at Daffa, who only smiled slightly while reading the newspaper. He nodded as he spoke silently, hinting that Fera should answer 'yes' to Andi's question earlier. Although, in fact, today, Fera's husband is on holiday from work because he is not feeling well.
"Yes. Daffa's working again. Why, anyway?"
"It's ok. It's just that I have something to ask, but I don't think I can say this if Daffa is on your side."
"Yes, what? It's a long time, don't have to be long-winded," said Fera, annoyed.
Daffa curled her forehead. What would Andi ask his wife until he didn't want to know? Tech is only Daffa. Fera is the same. He was even a little afraid that Andi would say something he didn't like. That is Andi's feelings for him.
"How close are you to your sister-in-law? Siska."
"We're pretty close. Moreover, I don't have a sister. Every once in a while, I like to confide in her or vice versa. So, what do you want me to do?" Fera asked.
"Yes, it doesn't have to be anything, anyway. I want to know that Siska is single. So, I can position myself when chatting with people like her not to be misperceived."
"In essence, Siska is easy to paper. You don't mess with him. If there is anything, face me first."
"I understand. Yes, I will remember that. Thanks, Fer. Sorry for bothering you."
After hanging up the phone, Fera fell silent and turned her gaze to Daffa. What was Andi's fear now became her fear as well. What if Siska falls in love with Andi and Andi doesn't? Wouldn't this situation have worsened if the reality was like that? Meanwhile, Fera has promised to help Siska find out about Andi and cross them.
Oh, dilemma.
"What do you think I should do, Babe" Fera asked Daffa.
"Look at the plot first. I don't know how, but... try to give Siska input on this. Slow down. Love knows her not to hope for Andi and respond to everything ordinary about later, whether Andi will like Siska. Importantly, tell Siska to take care of her heart for her good," Daffa said.
"Ok, Babe."
Worried, that's how Fera feels now. Hopefully, something terrible won't happen to Siska or Andi. Because if it happens, the situation will be even more difficult for Fera. She didn't know which side to be on, her best friend or sister-in-law. And again, it will cause awkward feelings for Daffa later if her best friend hurts her beloved sister.
Day after day passed, and Fera never got word from Siska about developing her relationship with Andi. She began to worry and decided to see her this afternoon.
"Mrs. Ningsih, I went to mama's house first, ok? Look home for a while. If something happens, call me, ok?" Fera said goodbye.
"But, can't it be delayed or left? You pregnant and going alone without Mr. Daffa, I'm afraid something bad will happen to you," interlude Mrs. Ningsih anxiously.
"Calm down. The doctor said my due date is the third week of this month, still ten days away. So, I can take a walk first. Mama said, getting pregnant big should be taken the way. Let the birth is not difficult, and the birth canal is easily open," Fera explained.
"Yes, but ..."
"Well, calm down. Anyway, It's not taking a long time. Later, Daffa will also pick me up," Fera said.
Fera was forced to lie to Mrs.Ningsih because she knew that Daffa had warned his housekeeper to care for his wife, especially in the days leading up to birth. Fera is not allowed to go out of the house without knowing her husband. She had to do this out of curiosity and worry for his sister-in-law.
After her online taxi order came, Fera immediately left and planned to briefly stop by her Lover café to bring two drinks for her mother-in-law and Siska.
However, the car drove her, never reaching her destination. Not without also, today the streets are crowded and jammed everywhere. She was stuck in traffic for almost three hours with a body that already felt sore.
"Sir, it's still a long time, huh?" Fera asked the driver.
"I think, yes. It's badly jammed, maybe because of the weekend," the middle-aged man replied.
"Duh, it's quite sore with my back."
Fera repeatedly held her breath and stretched her body. Sometimes she straightened a sitting position and occasionally rubbed her stomach, which felt tight. The driver began to worry when he saw Fera's face showing an uncomfortable expression through the car mirror,
"Are you ok, Mam?"
"It's just weird. My stomach is tight like this endlessly. Usually, the swabs have also returned as usual if this is the case. This is how it is, repeatedly," Fera said softly.
Not having time to finish his words, Fera suddenly lit up in pain while holding her stomach, her face flushed, one of her hands clenched like a holding something unbearable.
"Mam?! What happens to you?!" Shouted the driver.
The driver got out of his car in the road traffic jam. She screamed for help from those around her and told her that someone would give birth in her car.
Some people look indifferent, but some care. A woman wearing a neat suit got out of her car and came to the vehicle that Fera was in.
"Sir, I will help from our so that other riders give way. My hospital is about a hundred meters away from here. You follow my car there, sir? There is still time to arrive later. This mother is born. This is still the opening of one. The woman said after examining Fera, who appeared to be a doctor.
"Yes."
The doctor gave pity on the road to provide a gap in Fera's car. When the road had begun to empty a little, the online taxi rushed to follow the doctor's car from behind. Still groaning in pain, Fera could no longer afford to pick up the cell phone and call Daffa.
After twenty minutes of waiting, they arrived at the hospital. The doctor instructed the sisters to immediately take Fera to the delivery room while she tried to contact the nearest destination for Fera.
"Mom, I know you are in pain. Please tell me which phone number my mother's husband lets me call to come here."
"Da-Daffa, Doc. My H-hp is in the bag, arrrghhh! The contact's name is 'My husband' look for it, Doc. Doctor, I'm not strong anymore," Fera grimaced in pain.
She tried to resuscitate herself to tell the doctor about her husband. Although he was unable, his condition began to weaken in the end.
"Good afternoon, sir. We are from Happy Hospital. Your wife is here and has shown signs of childbirth. Please come soon, sir. It's an emergency."
