Siska and Maria, who had arrived at the office again, spent time together at lunchtime. Siska doesn't work in the same office as Daffa. However, Siska's building was adjacent to her brother's office after the boutique had been closed temporarily.
"Mar, it turns out that I saw the wrong schedule. I'm overtime tomorrow, not today," Siska said.
"So?" said Maria.
"Yes, I have informed Andi, and he will take me home from work later. He will take me somewhere, haha."
"Happy dating you guys!."
Stretching this day to look forward to and seem happy, time feels so fast that it has shown at four o'clock in the afternoon.
Siska stood waiting for someone beside her office security post, unsettled as the sky slowly darkened. Daffa asked to pick her up, but she refused. Maria has also advised her to be careful and clever to take care of herself when the guy Siska is waiting for. For almost twenty minutes, Siska waited for Andi, who never saw the trunk of her nose.
Just now, Siska wanted to send a message to Andi, but suddenly someone using a metal motorcycle came to her. The girl reminded her steps and tried to turn her gaze in the other direction.
"It's me." Andi opened the glass of his helmet with a smile.
"Ah, you. You scared me!" Siska sighed.
The girl was wearing a helmet given by Andi. After Siska sat in the passenger seat, Andi drove his motorcycle without Siska knowing where the destination of this bike was going.
"Where are we going?" asked Siska on the way.
"I want to have some dinner with you. But, I just got the news that some of my high school friends are hanging out in one of the cafes. I've refused, but they're forcing me. So, we're there all the meals, how about that?"
"Huh? How did you just say, anyway? You know, I don't want to come. I don't know them."
"Sorry if I didn't tell you. They are kind and friendly friends, and only three people were there, and there are girls too."
"Hmm, I think I can't do this. How about I go home by myself? It's not a big deal," replied Siska, who began to sulk.
Without responding, Andi pulled over the motorcycle and opened his helmet while turning around until his body was half facing Siska.
"Sis, trust me, ok? Just a minute. As their faces go, we go wherever you want."
Although the guy's hair was dishevelled after taking off the helmet, Andi's charisma still shone, making Siska unable to look at him for long. Previously, the girl had resigned to be dropped off on the street and went home by herself according to her request earlier. Surrender? Siska herself was confused by her feelings. She didn't want to go with Andi, but on the other side, she didn't want to go home by herself.
"O-ok. But, promise, huh? Don't take long," she said with a gloomy face.
"Yes, Siska."
A few moments later, they arrived at the café they had aimed for. Andi turned off the engine, but Siska did not want to get off the bike.
"Come on, Sis. It's up."
Siska shook her head while looking down and occasionally looked at Andi in hopes of not stopping by the café.
Forced, Siska got off the bike with a sullen face. She saw her face, which was still beautiful even though she was gloomy. Andi took Siska's hand for the first time until she headed to the table where her friends were already there.
"Andi is great! Long stay abroad, but his love remains the same as local products."
One of the two guys who were there.
"This is Siska. We're going to do it. Sis, this is Danu. Gerald is the same, Fifi. They were my high school friends first."
Siska smiled doubtfully and nodded her head slowly, as well as Andi's three friends. They welcomed Siska kindly.
"Where's Fera, Ndi?" asked Fifi.
Everything about Andi must know that Fera has been his best friend since childhood.
"She just gave birth, Fi. Well, Siska is her sister-in-law," Andi replied.
"Oooh, are you guys hungry? go for eating."
They talked to each other. No one ignored Siska and always invited the girl to participate in their conversation between them. There was not much Siska could do but shut up and occasionally answer the questions of one of them. Occasionally Andi glanced at the girl subconsciously, but when Siska realized that someone was paying attention to her, Andi immediately turned her eyes. As promised, Andi attached to his friends and took Siska to another place that made her comfortable.
"Where are you going? Looks hurry."
"We'll go to the bookstore first."
Siska sat in the ring and was still silent.
"Why are you silent from earlier? My friends are nice, right?"
"Yes, they are good, really. I am comfortable with them too. But, yes, that is. I'm still awkward."
"Slow down. Later, you're used to it, too. Oh, where are you going now?"
"To my favourite food booth. I'm hungry."
Unexpectedly, tonight turned out to be very bright—the stars scattered as if to haunt Andi and Siska's night in the two meetings. But still, the cold air of Bandung city pierced to the bone. Fortunately, Andi brought two sweaters. One is for her to use, and the other is for Siska. Because she knows that Siska used to be shuttled by car during this time, she rarely brought a jacket from home. At least, that's what Siska told her when Andi was still in America.
"How about it? It's delicious, right?" asked Siska with a smile back.
"Yes! I just found out. You know, I've been here for a long time."
"Uh, by the way. I want to do something with you," Siska asked again.
"Why, anyway, did you torture me to come to meet your friends just now?"
"Haha, no. I was wondering. Why do you take me to meet your friends?
"I can refuse their invitation. But, I also want to make the world of friendships not as bad as you think. There are still a lot of good people out there, for example my friends."
"So, it was because of me just now??"
"Yes. And you feel comfortable near them?"
"Yes, anyway."
"Well, that's my goal."
Hearing Andi's words, time seemed to stop instantly. Again the artificial Siska feels overwhelmed and feels paid more attention by her.
'Calm down, Siska. Calm down. Remember, don't be happy for some kind of this. ' in his mind.
"Heh, how come it's barking?!" Andi waved his hand in front of Siska's face.
"Ah, yes."
"Come on, go home. Later, your brother will be looking for you again."
I don't think it's 8:30 p.m. Sure enough, Siska's phone's complete with eight missed calls from her brother and sister-in-law because the phone was activated in silent mode greetings.
Siska, panicking, immediately washed her hands filled with chilli sauce and then pulled Andi's arm to deliver her home quickly. On the way, Andi turned his motorcycle into a small shop that said 'Red Ginger Milk' a confused Siska then asked,
"Why we come here?"
"Buy this drink first, for your brother."
"You mean, Fera?"
"Yes, this is her favourite drink. Especially if the weather is cold. You want too?"
"No-no."
The girl was silent. There was something strange in his heart.
'Calm down, Sis! The jealous period is the same as your sister-in-law!"' he murmured silently.
They then continued their way. When she got home, Daffa was already waiting at the door with his hands on his chest. Unlike Siska, who was nervous and looked down in fear of her brother's anger, Andi instead got off the leisure motorcycle casually and approached Daffa while giving her some drink.
"Finally, thanks, Andi."
Siska stopped her steps in confusion. instead of fearing to scold, and now her brother turned his expression into a vague smile.
"You're not angry? I'm going home right on time?"
"No, why do I have to be angry?"
"But, why were you quite right to meet me when returning from work?"
"Nothing, i'm just teasing you. hahaha," ADaffa's said.
Between shame and upset, Siska entered the house without any word with Andi or her brother. She felt played by the two guys. Wrongly targeted, the sensitive Siska instead took it seriously without joking. Before long, she came back by throwing the sweater that Andi lent him with a cynical face and said,
"Thanks for tonight!"
