Fwoosh. Screech! Snap!
The forest was filled with these sounds as Glenn led the group to hunt beasts inside it. Their goal was for the kids to be at least Level 15 in three days which was the recommended level to defeat the Death Lord.
While they received equipment from the Prime Adventurers trio, the level requirement did not allow them to have the glorious ones. They needed to get stronger and level up more to receive those high tier equipment.
The level requirement of each item varies. First are fifteen levels, then ten leves, and then five levels until Level 60 which only has one level intervals each. This means that a Level 15 item can still be obtained and used by a Level 1 Adventurer.
Level 60 items are expected to be used by only Level 59 or more Adventurers. This would go on until Level 80 which required the exact level for the item and the player, no more, no less.
These rules were odd because on most games, the item level can only be used by the player when they reach that level or get past it.
"Deadly Snap!" Felix casted. He thrust his dagger forward, piercing a boar's stomach which caused it to fall. When they earned their EXP in their interface it meant that they killed the beast. It was their final hunt because it was already nightfall.
"Let's camp here," Glenn announced to the kids while he stood at a small clearing. "Today was just a practice battle for you, a test run if you may. This is not the actual fight yet, especially proper ones."
Glenn, who spent the majority of his God's Omen game time playing in the Arena, was used to competing with other players. His team was composed with their roles and fully know each of their responsibilities.
"Your roles are of vital importance to achieve victory in every fight ahead of you," Glenn said. "Warriors, Don, should flank the front lines and is expected to tank the damage when there are no members with a tank role in the group."
Don nodded. He received a set which had a fair equal amount of offense and defensive capabilities from Glenn and John. His equipment consisted of a giant sword which weighed nothing to the user, a shield, and a light but full set armor without the helmet.
"Your role is damage and defense. Remember, you have the highest HP and defense attributes among your group," Glenn held Don's shoulders. "Your friends have little to no defensive capabilities, that is why you need to have this role."
"I understand," Don said. "I will do whatever I can to keep everyone safe."
"Good. Now, you must know by now that there are two different types of damages, these are physical and magic," Glenn smiled. "The magic damage is usually dealy by the mage, Cecil. You are expected to cover the front lines while dealing huge amount of magic damage against the enemy."
Cecil, who was very young to fully comprehend everything that was going on, nodded. The situation made her compromise with their new reality just as much as everyone else did.
She received an equipment from Glenn and Gina which were composed of a robe that was crafted from dragon scales, a little dress that Gina forced Cecil to wear, and a staff that Gina originally owned.
Cecil looked at her outfit and grinned, "Cover the front lines and deal high amount of magic damage. Got it."
Glenn smirked. "The ones who usually deal high physical damage are the rangers and the assassins. Sometimes, assassins can also have magic attributes, but this is not the case for you, Felix."
Felix received his equipment from John. It was a lightweight item that belonged to John when he was only starting out in the game. Albeit they don't share the same class, they still share the same role and the same type of damage, physical damage.
"Your role in the battlefield is fight at the front lines, not take damage like Don. You need to use stealth to attack and deal damage, especially when taking the final blow against the enemy," Glenn said. "Assassins are vital in a team because they usually are the ones who control the battle situation."
Felix felt pressured by his responsibility, but just like the rest of them, he had no choice. He needed to take his role and do his best to fulfill his duties. "I understand, and I accept it."
Glenn smiled. He then turned to Patrick who gulped. "You saved me for last because I have the biggest duty, right?"
"As the healer, Patrick, you must keep everyone safe and alive," Glenn said. You are expected to be protected by the mage and or the ranger at all cost, especially when you are casting your skills."
"But what if something happens and I can't help them?" Patrick asked while he clenched his fists. "What if I fail them all?"
"You won't," Glenn smiled. "Your duty is to help your friends when they are hurt, boost their attributes when they need it, and shield them with your skills if necessary. You don't have to feel the pressure in these."
"Everything you just said is heavily pressurizing me," Patrick chuckled awkwardly. "I don't know if I can do all of those."
"Of course, you can!" Cecil cheered. "Patrick, you're not alone in this. You have us, you have your friends."
"She's right," Don added. He slung his arm over Patrick's shoulders. "We're a team here. Nothing can beat us if we work together."
Glenn watched them cheer each other up, making sure that every one of them feels good. It reminded him of the time where he first joined the professional league and cheered his friends up.
He was the captain and was also their biggest fan. He acted just like the kids. "All of you, two days from now will face a very serious and dangerous battle. By then, you have to be prepared. Not everyone in Galaron will survive this battle, but I will make sure everyone of us will."
