As Glenn fell into a deep slumber he was back in the eternal darkness, facing the six eyed creature in front of him. He was worried that he was going berserk on the outside world, but something was telling him that he wasn't.
The feeling he had when he first came here and the one he had at the moment were very different. At first he thought that he was just imagining things, but the six eyed being talked.
"Welcome back, Glenn," it said. "Do you want me to tell you something?"
"Look, I really don't have the time for this," Glenn said. "Galaron is facing a huge catastrophe and if I don't help, everyone of them might perish."
"Oh, they will," the six-eyed being said with a chuckle. "Glenn, why do you think you lost control of yourself when Bryan was provoking you?"
Glenn was silent for a moment. He couldn't answer. The words he wanted to speak were lodged in his throat. That was because he didn't have an answer. He wanted to reason it out, but his mind couldn't think of a reason.
As a project manager, Glenn was used to people yelling at him as well as working under pressure. He was used to all of those, but why did he went berserk when Bryan provoked him? His actions didn't deem of his true self.
"That wasn't me," Glenn whispered. "The one who threw Bryan off of the wall wasn't me. It was someone else."
"That was all you, Glenn," the six-eyed being spoke. "It was your innate desire, your true intentions."
"It was never my intention to hurt anyone," Glenn said. "If I did, then I would've hurt my friends already. I would've killed them all the moment I lost control."
"But you almost did," the being smiled widely. "Your hand pierced your so-called friend's stomach. You sent him to hell the moment you lost control, have you forgotten?"
This time, Glenn was complete lost. It was true. He was the one who stabbed John when the man tried to stop him. His friend only wanted to help, but he hurt him.
"Do you know why, Glenn?" the six-eyed being asked, making Glenn look up and stare at it. "Do you want to know why, Glenn?"
"I-I do," Glenn whispered. "Why am I like this?"
The being grinned even wider. This time, it maniftested a round stone tablet. There were thirteen symbols that surrounded the tablet, these symbols were connected to a symbol on the center. Only three of all the symbols glowed, making Glenn wonder what could it mean.
"What's this?" Glenn asked. "Thirteen symbols. Wait, those are–"
"The symbols of the Dark Lord's Thirteen Generals," the being spoke for Glenn. "Each of these thirteen symbols represents the Generals. When it glows, it means that the General is active."
Glenn tried to remember the symbols of the Generals. Back when he was playing the game, the Generals would carry their symbols all throughout their arc. Some would put them on their temples, some on their victims, but the most common place they would put their symbols on was a part of their bodies.
"An arch over three circles," Glenn walked in front of the stone tablet and touched it. "Viros. This is the symbol of Viros. This was in her temple and her victims' stomach. But I killed her. How could– seven hearts. The higher the rank of the General, the more their hearts are."
"I am impressed by how you know a lot of these things," the six-eyed being said. It kept its wide toothy smile and replaced it with a smirk. "You seem to catch on to things rather quickly, quicker than most humans do. Oh, I forgot. You are from Heaven. That must be why."
Glenn knew then and there that this being was not an all-knowing being like he initially thought. It knew about demons, humans, and the fundamental of most magic in this world, but it does not knew about God's Omen.
"This being must also be an NPC," Glenn spoke in his mind before looking up and spoke out loud. "What's your name? I'm going to wake up now."
"Why do you need to know my name?" the being asked, narrowing its eyes as if it was teasing Glenn. "Are you interested in what I am?"
"You spoke to me at random times," Glenn said. "I tried to talk to you last night before I went to bed, but you didn't show up. Your existence baffles me."
"You can call me Saroth," the being closed all of its eyes as if it was respectfully introducing itself. "You don't have to know about my existence for now, but in due time, I can introduce myself properly."
"Okay, Saroth," Glenn grinned. "We'll see each other soon."
"But how will you wake up?" Saroth asked. "You don't hear your friend's voice like you did before."
"I can wake up on my own," Glenn said. "I just have to force it."
Glenn sighed and closed his eyes. When he was working, he was used to forcing himself up in the morning even after a whole night of drinking the previous night. He did all of those for years that it became innate for him.
"Wake up," Glenn said. "Wake up, now!"
His eyes fluttered open, his breath was hitched as if he was gasping for air. He was in a dark forest with his head on Cecil's lap.
"I heard an old woman say that Big Brother Healer was a big fraud and only wants attention," Glenn heard Don spoke. "At first I didn't mind her because maybe she was just misinformed, but she started to spew rude things about him and I wanted to… I wanted to stop her but nobody would listen to me."
"We're listening right now," Glenn chuckled, making everyone turn to his direction. The man grinned and shrugged as he sat up cross-legged. "What? I am listening. And I know what's happening now."
"You do?" Gina asked. She walked up to him and checked if he was in a good condition. "But what?"
"Viros is not dead," Glenn said. "To eradicate a General, you must destroy all of its hearts. They have seven and if I could remember, I only stabbed one."
"So, she's still in there?" Gina asked. "Viros is still inside the town?"
"Yes," Glenn stood and sighed. "Our battle against her is still not done."
"Then, what do we do?" Gina asked. "She has the town on her fingers, all this time she controlled them all."
"We fight her," Glenn said. "And we fight the Four Waves too. It's not going to be that hard."
"Glenn," John gulped. "You see, when you fainted. The town basically disowned us. Then when we turned our backs on the town, there was a penalty and the level is now harder than before."
"That's not a problem," Glenn said. "We're level 90s. Something like this would've faze us that easily."
