Chapter 2 - Chapter 1

I was still asleep when my mother called my name. I moaned, turning off my alarm. "Don't wake me up again." I said. My eyes opened, and I sighed. My mom noticed I looked tired as soon as she saw me come downstairs. She handed me my breakfast, and I took it. I said, "Thank you." She kissed me on the cheek. "I love you, have a great first day." I sighed, and left my house. I walked toward my car. My neighbor Frank wished me well. "Good morning," I replied.

I put my gear in backwards after getting into my car. After pulling out of the garage, I put my gear in drive. Frank continued to wave. I left right away for school. Frank went back into his house, and I was stopped at a red light.

My mother and stepfather were getting ready for work. She had already prepared his breakfast. They kissed on the lips, and my stepfather bid them farewell. "I'm looking forward to seeing you later, not saying goodbye."

My car was parked in my assigned spot. Isabella approached my vehicle. I got out of the car to grab my belongings. She asked, "Why did you take so long? You look awful."

Isabella and I marched to school as mom started cleaning the house. Lots of people were there and I was excited to start my senior year. "You look like you had a rough summer." I thanked Isabella for her kind words. After asking for my combination in the office, I left. Isabella did the same.

Mr. Harris said, "Good morning class.".

"Good morning," the students murmured. I was the only one who was ready to begin senior year. Behind me, Isabella cleaned her throat.

I was eating dinner with my mother at home. My stepdad, David, hasn't returned home yet. "So?" Mom asked. As I ate, I paused. "How was your first day?" I sighed, "Good, it was good."

David arrives home a few minutes later. I sighed and my mom became all excited. I have a two-year-old step sister as well. She is David's daughter. My real father left me and my mom.

In my room, Mom and I were talking. It was getting late. Isabella texted me. I picked up my phone. "Who is it?" I laid down my phone, "Isabella."

"Have you ever considered asking her out?"

"What? No."

"Um, I believe you should." I sighed, "Mom, it's not the way I like her."

My mother understood, and she got up from my bed. I could hear someone breathing as I lay there asleep. It was a boy, who was running away. He continued to cry, and he fell on the ground. His eyes looked upward. He cried out.

I gasped when I woke up. It was only three in the morning when I looked at my clock. I was tired as I moaned into my pillow. I rolled over and went back to sleep.
