My dreams appeared to be telling me something, but I wasn't sure what it was. I had gotten dressed for a frat party earlier in the day. My mother and stepfather were watching TV in their bedroom. I quietly shut the door. I tiptoed watching my mom and step dad making out. I ran downstairs immediately. Isabella was waiting for me outside.
I was walking across the grass toward her car. As she checked her watch, Isabella said, "Well, it's about time. It's been five minutes." I apologized, "I was trying not to be heard." Isabella replied, "Okay, whatever, let's go, we have a party to attend."
It was on the beach when I noticed the frat party. I sighed, "Come on, let's go have some fun." Isabella took my hand and pulled me along. I looked for a place to sit.
David and Mom were laughing and giggling. I sat by the water. I could hear the waves, and it was dark out. Isabella handed me a drink, "Thanks," I replied.
As Isabella sat next to me, I took a sip of my drink. Isabella bumped my shoulder and asked, "What are you thinking about?" I sighed, "Nothing." I took another sip of my beverage. Isabella understood. "Can you guess what I'm thinking?" Isabella asked. I turned my head toward her. "I'm considering breaking up with Garrett."
Isabella began explaining that Garrett had cheated on her. She pretends not to know, but she does. "I'm sorry, Isabella. That must have been awful." Isabella sighed, "Yup, it was." I turned my head towards the water.
Getting up from bed, Mom went to see how I was doing. When she knocked on my door, she asked, "Are you sleeping?" She opened the door and entered my room. Under the blankets, I stuffed some things to make it look like I was sleeping.
As Garrett walked up to Isabella, he said, "I need to talk to you."
"I don't want to talk to you," Isabella announced standing up.
I really need to talk to you. Come on, I really need to talk to you."
Isabella sighed, "You betrayed me."
"I know, and I apologize."
A sigh escaped me. "I'm sorry Garrett, but we're through." Garrett sighed, as I continued to listen to them argue. As I sipped my beer, I watched them argue. Isabella turned and walked away.
Mom went back to bed. David awaited her. It was time for another drink. "Sorry you had to see that." Isabella said to me as she approached me. Isabella saw me pour more beer into my cup. I began drinking again.
I was the only one who continued drinking. The taste was great, and Isabella was having the time of her life. We went home as soon as the party ended. It wouldn't surprise Mom that I was drunk.
