Chapter 4 - Chapter 3

My mom and I went to the city together. I went into this store with her. "Good morning, Alvin." Mom said, grabbing a cart. "Good morning, Emma." Alvin knew my mother. I noticed a poster board filled with pictures of missing people. While looking at it, I just stood there. My mother approached me, telling me she needed my help help. After following mom, I walked away from the board. As Alvin helped another customer, he sighed.

David was outside doing some work. On weekends, he doesn't work at his actual job. Mom put her car in park when she pulled into the garage. "Are you interested in setting up lunch?" I shrugged, "Sure." My mom and I got out of the car.

I was washing dishes in the kitchen. My mother was talking to David in the dining room. Immediately after finishing, I told my mother that I was going to bed. "Okay, goodnight." Mom said to me.

After I took off my watch, I placed it on my nightstand. I lay flat on my back. Faced with the ceiling, I hoped I wouldn't have another dream. I was trapped in my dream once again a few hours later. I saw the boy and he was crying for help. This man was breathing as well. His breathing was heavy. He held a knife in his hand. I opened my eyes.

The next morning, I went for a run. David decided to join me. He asked if it was okay to run with me while he was trying to talk. We went for ice cream a little later after I told him it was fine. "How are you finding senior year so far?" David asked me.

"Good, I guess." I shrugged.

David stood up from his chair when he heard his name. David sat down after receiving our ice cream from the lady. Hey, I hope you understand that I am not replacing anyone." I took a bite of my ice cream and understood. David sighed, "I'm not trying to replace your father." Taking another bite of ice cream, I replied, "Yeah, I get it."

Mom and David are going out on a date. "There are leftovers from last night in the refrigerator." I understood, "Okay, no problem." David and mom left, and I closed the door.

As I lay on the couch, I dreamed again. I couldn't tell what the man looked like because he wore a mask. The street name was also visible. When I opened my eyes, I gasped. The phone rang. The call was from Isabella.
