"Why are you looking at me like that?" Charity asked, unconsciously rolling a lock of hair around her fingers.
"I didn't think it was possible but I think I love you even more," Absalom said, "you're perfect."
She looked away immediately, unable to maintain eye contact, and the way he looked at her made her feel a totally different thing. Everything she had felt with Absalom had been purely physical but this time she felt warm and it wasn't anything sensual. "Is this the place?" She coughed awkwardly as they pulled into a gate.
"Yes," he said as they drove in and as they did she began to see the aircraft... this was an airport?
"I don't understand?" She said.
"Have you ever been on a plane?" He asked as he stepped out of the car, she watched him walk around to her door. Still trying to wrap her mind around this she was fumbling with her belt but in an instant, Absalom's face was right in front of hers. She wanted to protest, say something but the words got stuck in her throat. Suddenly her whole body was alight with heat and her senses were flooded with him, his scent, she breathed him in and for a moment it felt like time stopped. There were no consequences here, no one was going to yell at her if she just leaned forward and-
"Done, you can come out now" he said, extending his arm which she took with hesitation. "What? Do you not want to get down?"
She looked up at him, her lips parted. "No, no I do."
"What were you thinking?" He asked with a sly smile on his lips, "perhaps I should be the one wary of being taken advantage of?" He winked, Charity pursed her lips and stepped out of the car without his help. Fixing her skirt as they walked towards the building.
"Mr. Moretti" an aged man walked towards them, she could only even tell he was on the older side because of his gray hair, apart from that he was fit and looked healthy. Quite a handsome man as well, "the plane is ready."
Charity wanted to ask questions but she decided against it, she would see this one out. But there was one question she couldn't let go of when she thought about it. "Where are we go-"
"Wait are you flying it yourself?!" She asked when she saw how small the plane was. It was all those aircraft that had only two seats in them.
"No, we are flying it together," he said walking towards the plane that already sat perfectly on the walkway.
"I have never done that before, how I'm I supposed to-"
"Come on the adventurous spirit in you must be jumping for joy right now, besides I'll be right there with you." He said, his hand reaching for her yet again. "Don't worry I will of course be there the entire time, focus on me and just enjoy yourself."
She did feel excited, she had never done anything like this before, she never even imagined it. But she always knew she would love to do something crazy like this, traveling, sky diving, and the likes.
"Fine I'll trust you this one time," she said taking his hands. Her feet kept tapping impatiently through all of the safety talks and she was more than eager when the man handed her the headphones and she was allowed to enter the plane.
"Wait, you want me in the front?"
"Yes, you'll enjoy it more there," he said but she grabbed his arm as he was about to enter the plane, pushing her hair behind her ear. "I will tell you all to do, trust me okay? You will be okay."
Eventually, she was in the plane listening to Absalom's instructions, soon the plane was already moving, "Okay pull up now!"
She grab the control with both arms and began to pull, "Oooh, oh! Oh!" She exclaimed as the plane began to defy gravity and pull them into the air. "Oh!" she screamed as it whooshed into the sky, "I didn't do that!"
"I did!" He yelled behind her and she turned to look at him. "Are you okay?"
"Ah!" She screamed again as the plane dipped.
"Whoops sorry" Absalom laughed.
"Hey! Oh my gosh," she gasped.
"You can let go no, look," he said to her and the view took her breath away.
"Oh my goodness, yeah!" she screamed but this time it was one of excitement, flaunting his skills, he pushed the into the cloud, the sun peeking just above. Charity threw her hands up in the air when the plane went upside downs and she felt weightless. She was laughing so much completely forgetting that she was not supposed to enjoy this.
But could she help herself? The sun really was beautiful from this height. It was a whole different world, what would it feel like to touch a cloud? She wondered, this was too wonderful!
"This is absolutely amazing!"
"Mind-blowing right?" Absalom said and she nodded, "this can be your life."
At the statement she turned to face him, "I can give you whatever you want in this world Charity, I have so much money I don't know what to do with it, let me use it to spoil you silly. Won't you let me love you?"
