Andrew was not pleased to discover that Vera Gilmore had lawyered up on her boyfriend's behalf. Dr. Sheridan had been apologetic but there was nothing she could do.
"I can't make anyone talk to me, Detective. You know that," she reminded him.
That didn't make him any less annoyed though. Their hands were tied. They didn't have enough information to arrest Parker on and, even if they did, they wouldn't be able to make him talk if he had a lawyer. With his current mental state, it was unlikely they would be able to take him to trial even if they could.
"You might not be able to arrest him since he's still in the hospital but you can try and request a search warrant," Dr. Sheridan said with a shrug. "Good luck. There's a lot going on in that young man's head."
That was the problem. Andrew wanted to get inside it and make sense of what in the world was going on with this case.
