Elijah returned to the room to see Mia still in bed. It was already morning. "Hello there!", he said as he glared at her beautiful face. Smiling at him, she relaxing asked, "have you being staring at me all night". "No! I just came by. Breakfast is served.", he retorted with a bright smile on his face.
After breakfast Mia realized Elijah looked rather disturbed, he had not said a word for the whole time. Just before she could say a word , Elijah broke the awkward silence.
"Mia you can't stay here forever, you have to go back to your former life". Tears dripped down his eyes as the words came out of his mouth.
Mia was shocked but she knew he was right. She could never spend the entirety of her life in the woods. She had dreams she needed to pursue and accomplish. She had a degree course to finish at Oakwood College. She burst into uncontrollable tears as she looked at him.
Mia held his hand and pulled him closer. He looked oblivious as to what she wanted to do. She looked at him in the eye. She could hear his heart pounding vigorously. He looked tensed.
Mia decided to make the move and planted a kiss on his lips. Elijah stood frozen not knowing what to do next. This was the first time anyone had kissed him his entire life. This is more than he had always wished for. But this had to end. At least for now. She had a long life ahead of her. He slowly pushed her back as he broke away from her grip.
"If we are meant to be together, nothing can separate us", Elijah said trying to console her as Mia sheared tears. She couldn't bear the pain of losing him forever, She had grown to love him very much within these few days.
He reached inside his pocket and brought out a beautiful necklace. "This was given to me by my mother, I want you to have it. Keep it as a token of my love for you", he said as he handed it over to her. Mia turned her back to him signaling for him to put it around her neck.
"Perfect!", Elijah exclaimed as she saw her image in the mirror that stood in front of them. He could remember all those good old days with his mother. She looked as beautiful as his mother when she put on that very same necklace.
Elijah led the way as they headed down the stairs back into the hall. Mia still looked disturbed. He had a lot of questions in her mind. He could sense her troubled mind. He held her by the hand and promised to meet her in the garden whenever the new moon appeared in the sky.
Mia was still not satisfied, she wanted more than that. Elijah understood her perfectly. He was the first person she had fallen in love with, the first person that made her feel like a woman. She needed more than just a promise. She kissed him again on the lips and whispered into his ears, "turn me too".
Elijah starred at her confused and shocked. He didn't know what could have come into her mind for her to say something like that. He could hear her thoughts but definitely didn't see that coming.
He loved her so much but knew deep down within him that he couldn't bear the consequence that would follow if he granted her wish. But Mia had made up her mind, she wanted to share his pain and curse together. Elijah loved her so much to refuse her request.
After a long argument, he finally gave in to her request. He brought out his sharp fangs from beneath his gums and bit his wrist. Mia watched as blood gushed out of the wound. He tried once again to discourage her from going through with her demand all to no avail. He seemed like he had no other choice but to grant her what she wished for.
Mia grabbed his hand and fed on his blood as he had signaled her to do moments before he bit his wrist. At first it tasted funny in her mouth. She threw up as the first drop hit her stomach. But that was not enough to stop her.
Motivated by love, she grabbed his wrist again and took a long sip out of the blood that gulped out of his wound till she could bare it no more.
"That's enough", Elijah shouted as she could not believe what he had done to her. He wondered what could have made him to agree to such a childish demand.
She suddenly started grunting out of pain. She felt as if something was turning inside her stomach. He knew it was too late to make any amends. He helped her back into bed. She felt too weak.
After hours of sleeping, she woke up from her slumber. Nothing had changed, she was still herself. She just felt a little stronger than before. He was laying beside her admiring her beauty as before. She went in for another kiss. This time Elijah moved his head trying to elude from her firm grip.
She held him by his shirt and pinned him onto the bed. Elijah watched with surprise. She sat down on him, held him once more and kissed him on the forehead. Elijah returned her kisses. He could feel she wanted more than just a kiss. She took of his shirt while breathing profusely like she had just escaped from the grips of a hungry lion.
Elijah was a fine young man. Not just in looks. He had a fine built body; one that every young woman would want to have. As for Mia, she could die for him; she loved him so much that she had forgotten about her mother.
He helped her unzip her gown as he gently turned her over. He kissed her deeply as she moaned with ecstasy.
She had never experienced anything so sweet. She could feel something throbbing above her abdomen. Now Mia was a virgin who had never had any sexual intercourse until she met him. But she had acquired a little knowledge about sex from her Science class in high school and the experiences of her peers.
He broke away from the kiss and thrusted gently into her. She exclaimed as he went deep into her. She couldn't explain how she felt. It was a mixture of pain, pleasure, love and every other emotion she had ever felt.
Elijah continued to admire her beauty. He knew she was enjoying every bit of what was happening. Suddenly he roared and gave out a loud cry. He stood up from the bed and barged out of the room. He regretted his actions. He shouldn't have turned her nor had sex with her.
Mia cleaned herself and changed back into her dress; the one she wore the night she went into the forest with her friends. Elijah had washed it as she slept during the night. She came out of the room to meet him the hall all dressed.
They went out of the house back into the forest as he led the way back to the garden. In no time she could see the roses up ahead. Mia felt differently when she saw the dried blood all over the garden. It was such a flash of a feeling that she paid no attention to it.
When they got to the wall, she looked in his eyes and asked, "when will I see you again." Elijah smiled and responded, "when the time is right you will know". He helped her climb over the wall as the hole they had previously used in entering the garden had been completely sealed.
