As the days passed, Mia realized she was turning paler than before. Once in a while, thoughts of how pale she looked would cross her mind; she would wonder if anyone else could notice the change in her colour. Mia would then try as much as possible to convince herself. She was gradually losing her self confidence.
Daniella was no longer staying in the same room with Mia as they used to but she they still talked in class and moved about together. She could tell there was something wrong with Mia. Each time they went to have their meal, it looked like she wasn't enjoying whatever was served. Daniella found this new character of hers very weird. "She has also suddenly turned pale", Daniella wondered. Daniella decided to wait for the right moment to ask her what the problem was.
