"I don't understand, did da-hee tell you about our discussion yesterday?"
"She didn't need to; I was there in the library as well."
Hearing his son say that; he became a bit perplexed; he wasn't exactly sure what his son wanted from him; as far as Lee tae-hyun thought, he is saving his son from a girl that has been blackmailing him (So why does he look angry at me?) "Well, if you know everything, then you shouldn't be stopping me from going to your school."
"I said no!" Hwan said quite angrily. "We are not going to my school and you are not going to try to get da-hee expelled. I agreed to speak to you with da-hee about Cha min-geun; we wanted to help you so you wouldn't fall for his schemes."
"I understand that but that doesn't excuse what she did-"
"Why don't you ever listen to me! Da-hee has never hurt me. She's the only person that I can rely on right now. An 18-year-old girl came to you and told you all those horrible things that have happened in her life and that she needed help, and you turned her away, and now you're trying to take her out of school?" As hwan was breathing heavily, tears started to form in his eyes as he said, "I always thought you didn't care about me, but you've always showed compassion to others."
Shocked by his son's outburst; tae-hyun tried to respond but he was lost for words. And as the tears started to flow from hwan's eyes, he wiped them off and finally said.
"If you really think that da-hee is a bad person, why didn't she tell you what my secret was?" and then he walked out through the gate and took a taxi to school.
As the various students arrived in school, Uju arrived as well, and as she saw min-hyuk, she ran to him to catch up to him. " Hey, what's up?" She says playfully, but min-hyuk just responded "hey" in a very unamused manner.
"What's going on, you've been acting all gloomy lately, are you depressed or something?" She says as she jabs his shoulder with her elbow, but he doesn't respond. She stops him and holds him by the shoulders and then asks seriously, "Is someone bullying you again?"
However, before min-hyuk could say anything, they were both distracted by Lee hwan stepping out of a taxi; he then rushed over and hugged min-hyuk, nestling his head in min-hyuk's neck. Everyone was shocked and uju couldn't believe her eyes, but suddenly she noticed that he was crying; so she hugged them both to cover hwan's face. "ha-ha group hug." She said awkwardly as she leads them both away to somewhere more private. When they finally got to a garden where no one was; hwan sat on a chair as he sniffled and tried to collect himself. Uju and min-hyuk were still confused as to what was going on, they both looked at each other, thinking to themselves that they should probably ask him what happened, but they weren't exactly sure how to go about it, but before they could say anything; hwan asked.
"Where's da-hee?"
"She's not coming to school today." Uju responds.
"What why?" min-hyuk asked.
"Well, she said that there was no point of coming since she would be expelled anyway. I tried to make her explain but she wouldn't. She practically kicked me out of her house; she's very rude."
Hwan didn't respond, what could he possibly say. He just felt completely exhausted.
As da-hee was home, not even showered and finally getting off the bed to find food, she heard the doorbell ring; It was Lee tae-hyun.
