I leaned against the wall and tried not to fall. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to stand up after all.
The floor started to shake again.
Shit, what in the world is happening?
The door slammed open, and Ryan came rushing into the room.
"There are a few complications, so I need to get you out of here."
A few complications? "
That doesn't look like just a few complications!"
Ryan untied my ankle and wrist and grabbed me by the arm.
He pulled me out of the room as fast as he could, and we ran down a long hallway toward an old wooden door.
With a kick, it flew us out of the way, and I was dragged on.
Behind the door was something like a small village.
It looked really nice, except for the fact that a few of the houses were completely trampled and only lay there as a small pile of scrap.
In the middle of the rubble stood a huge dragon, with dark blue, almost black scales.
It turned in circles and tore down everything that got in its way.
Around him stood a few people, of whom I believed that they were rather dragons in their human form.
They tried to calm the dragon, but it didn't help.
The dragon just threw them away.
Before I could observe what was happening, I was pulled further into a forest.
The ground was uneven, and tree roots stuck out of the ground.
My feet hurt because I was stumbling over the roots all the time.
Exhausted, I tried to keep running but collapsed after a few meters.
Ryan let go of my arm and sat down next to me.
"You humans have really bad endurance."
I just looked at him because I was too busy pumping air into my lungs.
So we sat there for a while until I got my air back to normal.
I stood back up and looked down at Ryan, who didn't seem to be planning on moving.
"You coming?"
He looked at me as if he hadn't noticed I was standing in front of him.
"No, we're going to wait here for Lisa.
She'll be here soon, so sit down!"
Bored, I did as he said and sat down again. The sun went down after a few hours, and we were still waiting.
"I don't think Lisa is coming yet!"
Then she came out from between the trees. "There you are at last, I've searched half the forest to find you. Man, you look like shit. Did you roll in the dirt?!"
I stood up and looked at her with an angry look, I would love to punch her in the face right now.
"And what took you so long?!"
With frightened arms, I took a step towards her.
"Ok ladies, you can stop bickering now. Did you help the others calm Skyler down again?" Lisa looked at Ryan questioningly.
"How, when I passed by the village, I didn't see anyone, actually I wanted to ask you why the huts were so smashed."
My eyes and Ryan's widened.
We walked back to the village together, and Lisa was right.
There was no one there.
The village had been swept clean.
But where did everyone disappear to!
