For an eternity, Lisa and I walked through the forest.
Collecting herbs was much more difficult than I thought.
Some looked exactly like the others, but then were poisonous.
Then some grew under huge rocks and others in the middle of a clearing.
Some we didn't find at all.
Mineva and Skyler had gone in another direction, Lisa just said they were looking for other herbs.
"Don't you think you're being a little unkind to Mineva?"
I turned to Lisa, who looked surprised.
"Why is that?"
"Well, you didn't really have nice words for her, rather you spoke to her in a rather dismissive way. Unlike how you speak to me."
I only whispered the last sentence.
Without answering my question she said. "Come on, you haven't showered or bathed in a while, I know a lake near here where you can do that."
Flattered, she turned and led me in the right direction with her tail.
Only after a few minutes I saw something glittering through the trees.
It was a small lake.
The water was so clear that you could count every single stone on the bottom of the lake. My eyes sparkled in the water.
Lisa settled down behind the trees, and sent me ahead.
After I was sure she couldn't see me, I started to take off my clothes and slowly got into the lake.
The water was warm and very pleasant.
I lifted my nose and dipped my head under the water.
The fresh water was refreshing to my face, and all at once I was wide awake.
Joy shot through my veins and I broke through the surface of the water.
Relaxed, I lay on my back and slid on the water.
I didn't even notice how Lisa was approaching.
It must have passed some time, the sun sank more and more down the sky and the air became cooler.
Lisa slided with spread wings through the water towards me, the fact that I was completely naked, seemed to be completely unimportant to her.
She began to slowly circle me, causing small waves that gently stroke my skin.
This relaxed my muscles more and more.
Lisa dove under the water and slid under me. Then she emerged jerkily again so that I was now lying on her back.
I almost got a heart attack, but her warm scales just felt so pleasant.
With me lying on her broad back she swam back to the shore.
Carefully I slid down her smooth wing and came to rest gently on the soft grass.
A little sad that the relaxation in the water was now over, I put my clothes back on.
Lisa did not take her eyes off me.
How embarrassing is that, I thought to myself. With reddened cheeks I turned to her.
"Can you maybe stop staring at me like that?" As if awakened from a trance, she looked away.
Her voice was muffled.
"Come on, let's go back, Mineva and Skyler should be on their way back too, we can pick up some herbs on the way back too."
I nodded and was about to start walking when Lusa's big nose nudged me from behind and she looked at me with pleading eyes.
One really could not resist those eyes. Without knowing what I was doing, I gently stroked the back of her nose and then climbed back onto her back.
Through the huge trees I could watch the sunset, which dipped the sky into a dark orange.
My eyes became heavy at this sight and fell more and more closed, until I finally fell asleep completely on Lisa's back.
The loud snoring of the dragons woke me up. I was lying in the moss nest, leaning against Lisa's belly.
She was breathing softly to herself.
I had to smile, she was really cute.
My eyes swept through the darkness, where I could make out more individual silhouettes of sleeping dragons.
But right next to our nest, two eyes flashed. My breath caught as the deep sea blue eyes seemed to bore through me.
They looked really familiar.
That's when it flashed through my mind. 'Ryan.'
He was still staring at me, and he didn't look like he was going to break his stare.
What I should do now I did not know.
Cold sweat was dripping down my forehead. Lisa, against whom I had just slept, moved cautiously.
She must have woken up, and looked angrily at Ryan with her light blue eyes taking on a dark glow.
"Ryan! Stop staring and go to sleep!"
Light smoke rose from her nose, and her den grew a little warmer as well.
Ryan winced and turned his head away.
Then Lisa looked to me, and the heat from her belly seemed to disappear.
"You go back to sleep too Kay, we have a long day tomorrow."
She got herself into a comfortable pose and continued breathing calmly.
My speechlessness must be written all over my face, because I couldn't have said a single word to Ryan. I
f Lisa hadn't woken up and admonished him, I'm sure we'd both be in a staring contest, not even thinking about sleeping anymore.
With relief, I snuggled into the moss and closed my eyes.
What will we do tomorrow?
Lisa said that it should be a long day, does that mean that we will already leave the Moonlake cave?
To be honest, I find it really nice here.
Without knowing what will be waiting for me, I decided to continue sleeping.
With the rhythm of the steady breathing of the dragons, which seemed to join together as one, I succeeded.
