"If they ask for the war, that is what-" Reece spoke but halted when the door of the throne room was opened loudly.
A vampire lady, wearing full suit office attire, walked in their direction. She then bowed lowly before the three vampires.
"My lord, Beta Clive from the Bloodmoon Pack, would like to speak to you. He says it's urgent." She said.
Melvyn walked gracefully towards her before reaching out for the phone.
"Clive, you just got married, and you became demanding already. You interrupted my meeting." Melvyn said, displeased.
"Good afternoon to you too, Melvyn. Basil has asked for an immediate council meeting to come as quick as you can." Clive replied casually. For him, it was always easier to talk to Melvyn compared to Ursula.
Melvyn frowned. If he was in his younger days, he probably would wince in disgust after hearing the phrase 'council meeting.' In those years, there was no order and meeting that was joined by vampires and witches at the same time.
"Why?" He asked demandingly. Melvyn needed a valid excuse to see and be around Ursula for a few minutes without him feeling upset.
"Katherine was attacked this morning, and Basil has confirmed that it was the hunters that did it." He explained immediately.
Melvyn's expression hardened. "Okay, we are on our way," he said. If witches are the ones that put spice in a vampire's life, hunters, on the other hand, are really the ones that could be considered the mortal enemy.
"Gentlemen, Lycans, asked for an urgent council meeting. Their Luna was attacked by a hunter. Old Bas' said that it was done by hunters. So you all know the drill." Melvyn told his deputies. He could clearly see the unhappiness in their eyes when he said that, to the point where he could hear an imaginary groan somewhere.
"Remind me again why we can't just sit here and let the filthy dogs deal with their little problem alone," Myles asked, frustrated.
Melvyn shrugged at that. He could convince them that it would be a good exercise but decided against it. That joke was so lame.
The three vampires walked towards the door. Since they were in the throne room, the huge door was being guarded by vampire soldiers.
"London, ask Seamus to prepare guards that will accompany us to the BloodMoon pack immediately," Reece commands one of the guards sternly.
By the time they were near the clan exit, five well-armed guards, with big silver swords and shotguns of the side pocket, had already appeared beside them. They are wearing the blackguard uniform and ready to deal with dogs and bitches.

At the BloodMoon Pack…
The council members started arriving an hour after the message had been passed. The witches were the first to arrive, appearing on the front gate of the BloodMoon Pack that was opened for them by the werewolves as they silently welcomed them.
It must have been difficult for the wolves to allow the previous enemies to be welcomed in the territory if not for the emergency.
Though the visitors could not really relate with the werewolves well, they could already tolerate each other's presence because of the treaty.
Following the witches closely was the Vampire, who arrived from the forest gates. Despite the fact that they have daylight rings, they did not like the sun, so they preferred to walk where there was much shade.
As the guards opened the gates for them, you could see the wolves scowling at the vampires who were looking at them with disgust on their faces.
The tension in the air would be cut with a knife.
Supernatural visitors passed in the corridors of the packhouse. You could see that everyone was alert as if waiting for something to happen.
The silence was cut when Clive came from the conference's direction, where he had just escorted Ursula and her company. While keeping a straight face, he welcomed the vampires and led them to the conference.
Myles darkly smiled after he gave Clive a nod, "You did well here. At least the place does not smell of dog pop. In fact, it is actually welcoming, and that is more than a bit. You know, I always thought I would need to disinfect after I come out of this meeting. I don't want to carry pest and fleas back, or do you, Simon?" Myles teasingly said as he tried to earn a reaction from the wolf in front of them
Clive glared at him with a warning growl, his shoulders stiff, hardly moving due to the tension.
This earned a triumphant smile from Myles as he knew that his goal of being an annoyance was successful.
He chuckled as he looked at Clive curiously, "Is the dog mad that I hurt his feeling? I think I will apologize. I do not want to anger the big bad wolf." Myles said in an innocent baby's voice.
