'What the hell?! He wants us to get married now?! Is he crazy?' Angie spoke her mind, but she didn't try to stop him after all, she already agreed.
What made Angie wonder about him was right after they came out of the bedroom, his face instantly turned cold and expressionless which was far different from how he spoke to her.
They went out of the mansion followed by Anna, who was waiting at the main entrance and had a teasing smile on her lips. She got in the car with them and handed Angie's ID and passport.
After less than thirty minutes, Angie's guess we're immediately confirmed. They arrived at the civil registry and directly went inside in a hurry. Therefore she can only let her hair down and use her fingers to slightly fix it while it keeps swaying on her back.
When Angie was about to fill her information in the form, the receptionist who had been staring at her suddenly claimed. "I'm sorry miss, but you seem only around eighteen, you will still need your parent's consent."
Angie was dumbfounded. She didn't know whether to cry or laugh. It was the same as what always happened when she entered a place that has age restrictions.
Before she could open her mouth, Zach, who was irritated due to the interruption, had already thrown her ID on the table, showing Angie's age and making the receptionist feel speechless by his behavior before showing an apologetic smile.
Although it was a kind of praise for his soon-to-be wife to mean she looks young and beautiful, who knew if Angie would suddenly change her mind and not marry him. Hence, Zach didn't want to waste any second.
After some time, Angie walked out of the civil registry while watching Zach who secretly breathed a sigh of relief, kept their marriage certificate and her passport.
"Why did you take those from me? I should keep them for myself."
"Safekeeping." Zach coldly declared before taking her soft hand into his, adding in his mind, 'Who knew if you suddenly wanted a divorce or ran away from me.'
Zach didn't notice that he started exhibiting his possessiveness towards Angie. "As for your contract with my sister, it is now void and she is no longer allowed to go anywhere without my permission."
"Brother! That's unfair!" Anna exclaimed, full of complaint but she pouted after receiving a sharp glare from Zach.
"She is now your sister-in-law. Are you saying that I married my sister? Don't forget that she almost ended up sleeping with someone else because of you." Zach refuted before leading Angie, who halted and was supposed to argue, in the car.
Angie also realized that what Zach said also made sense. She couldn't help but glance at Anna who was rendered speechless, feeling guilty and worried.
It was enough for Anna to be restricted from going out by Zach than to end up being with those kinds of friends. Who knew if her other friends would do the same thing last night.
On their way back to the Rainford family's mansion, Zach suddenly remembered. "You two will move to my house."
"What?!" Both Anna and Angie were startled.
"What do you mean by what? One is my little sister who is under my surveillance while the other is my wife, isn't it enough for the two of you to move into my house?" Zach coldly said before sending a sharp gaze towards Anna.
This rendered both women feel speechless before glancing at each other with helplessness in their eyes. Hence, they had no choice but to follow.
When they arrived at the Rainford Family's home, Zach took Angie to meet his parents and grandparents. They were informed by his secretary about their sudden marriage and made everyone feel ecstatic.
"We will have our wedding later half of this year." Zach suddenly declared, making Angie caught off guard.
"What wedding? There is no need.." Angie was cut-off immediately.
"No, we will have our wedding. But before that, we will go to your country to personally meet your parents." Zach interrupted while making no room for rejection.
Angie was left speechless, but she lifted her brows as she looked at Zach with a sharp but disdainful gaze while saying, "You still have a face to meet my mother?"
'If my dad found out about you, you can't blame me if a bullet would suddenly pierce your head.' She added in her thoughts.
Silence instantly befalls the whole room as Zach's cold face showed a pang of intense guilt, but this didn't exclude the Rainford family. They knew that even if they tried to find Angie for years, they couldn't deny that her young life was ruined by Zach.
What's more, is that Angie was only sixteen at that time and she even got pregnant by a foreign stranger. Just imagine how terrible the effect and impact were towards a young girl. This included how hard it was for her to face other people. Worse, it could have given rise to trauma.
"So, you finally acknowledged that I'm your daughter's biological father?" Zach suddenly and unexpectedly inquired.
His hand that still firmly held Angie's since the time they arrived from the civil registry, instantly tightened. What was surprising, his cold voice sounded gentle as he asked while he stared at her straight through her eyes.
Yet aside from the stunned Rainford family who were present, Zach didn't notice that his natural cold and sharp eyes had incredibly softened while it revealed his helplessness and pampering towards Angie.
Angie didn't respond but in her mind. 'How could I not believe you were her father? Just your face was enough to convince me.'
This was the reason why she was stunned the time she saw his face. His visage showed exactly like her daughter while thinking about Anna's big brother who they claimed as the biological father of her child, gave Angie a reason to think it was a coincidence.
